Oh, Boy. This Forbes Article Hit The Nail On The Head!May 17, 2014
Obama's Executive Power Pen Is Already Worn Out Much has rightly been made of President Obama’s promise to bypass Congress and act unilaterally to get things done.  “I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone,” he said, threatening to sign more executive orders and blast more messages from his bully pulpit. Since then, defenders have argued that Obama has signed relatively few executive orders compared with other modern presidents.  But all exec ...

An Article From A German MagazineDec 03, 2009
Never before has a speech by President Barack Obama felt as false as his Tuesday address announcing America's new strategy for Afghanistan. It seemed like a campaign speech combined with Bush rhetoric -- and left both dreamers and realists feeling distraught.   Just minutes before the president took the stage inside Eisenhower Hall, the gathered cadets were asked to respond "enthusiastically" to the speech. But it didn't help: The soldiers' reception was cool.   One ...

titled "We were once as depraved as ISIS."  I will paraphrase: In 1569 Protestant English troops massacred every Irish Catholic they found, beheaded the corpses and laid the heads in a path to the British commander's tent.  Later, the Earl of Essex hunted down and butchered 400 women and children, etc., etc.  Queen Elizabeth I approved.  Different religious factions have been slaughtering one another for centuries and guess what - Obama wasn't there!   And in c ...

Don't Believe The Debt Ceiling Hype: The Federal Government Can Survive Without An Increase Are you sure T-bills are considered a super-safe asset? Have you checked our credit rating lately? Ignore what you hear and read in the news. The federal government actually reached the legal debt ceiling about four months ago. Since then, the government has been financing its monthly budget deficit by stealing/borrowing money from other government funds, like the federal government employee ...

A little 5-year-old boy came home from kindergarten one day and asked his parents to buy him an IPad.  His parents told him that he was too young for an IPad, that it was too expensive, and why did he need to bring an IPad to school.  The boy told them that Billy had one and asked why he couldn't have one.  Again, they asked the boy what he would do with an IPad in kindergarten, and he told them he would cover his eye with it when they played pirates. ...

According To Smart Money Magazine, Here Is What Corporations Are DoingMar 12, 2011
"Yes, companies have boosted profits—to near-record levels—by slashing costs." That's also what I have been seeing. The companies are making more money than ever before, taking advantage of those tax breaks, but they are pleasing stockholders by cutting costs (and people) in order to do it. That's very good business for them, but not so much for Americans who need to work. This is not a political comment, because it has been happening under both administrations.   ...

Good article on Howard Buffet, Warren's son.  Just a paragraph or two here, but I went to his foundation and read some of the articles posted in thumbnails, speeches, etc. Eye-opening to say the least. Because of his large farm, he not only feeds the hungry, but teaches them farming, to almost the whole world with the exception of a few countries. So my point is that not all "rich" people are greedy CEOs.  In the land of plenty, more than 50 million Americans, including one ...

Forbes Says Self-reliant Homesteaders Are "delusional"Aug 05, 2017
It’s always interesting reading when someone smug and sanctimonious writes a clueless diatribe about another group of people being smug and sanctimonious. So when I saw that an economist for Moody’s and Forbes had written an op-ed calling self-reliant homesteaders “delusional,” I knew I’d be in for some misinformed hilarity. The article, entitled, “Dear Homesteaders, Self-Reliance Is a Delusion” was published a couple of days ago on the Forbes website. You’ll be forewarned tha ...

attacks against Christians, urging its “hidden soldiers” in the West to unleash attacks “without delay.” In opening, Dabiq 15 references recent attacks by jihadis in the United States (Orlando), France, Germany and Bangladesh, before suggesting the “cross-worshipers and democratic pagans of the West” should contemplate the “reasons behind the animosity and enmity held by Muslims for Westerners,” and should therefore repent by abandoning Christianity and “accepting Islam. ...

interesting points.  The article is about the ban.  It seems to me that the president should continue, as both Bush and Obama did, on putting new and adventagious things in the vetting process.  We can always improve on things but an all-out ban to me is not adventagious. The video in this touches on a few other points.  Perhaps listen with an open mind and maybe you will see how this "fine tuned" machine is running. ...

No matter how much you hate him this is a good article.  Cut him down all you want but it won't change the truth. Here's a quote from the article: Mr. Bush said that "the role of government is not to create wealth, but to create the conditions that allow entrepreneurs and innovators to thrive." I wish it was someone else who has said this because a lot of people sole purpose is hating and cutting him down, which diminishes from the importance of the article.   http://www ...
