well researched nonpartisan sources, hard data pushing no particular agenda, simply stating irrefutable facts. No wonder it has been boycotted for 24 hours straight.
Until Americans can acknowledge and come to grips with a situation we all know to be true, regardless of how reluctant we may be to admit it, we will never be able to tackle these urgent issues and shared concerns. We will only end up condemning ourselves to longing for days gone by and dreaming about what might have been.
As we can see by the daily dialog on this forum, we have become so divided and alientated, so comfortable with being inexcusably rude to one another, and so driven to assign blame, we have little or no chance to be able to come together long enough to improve or reverse the dire straights our vanishing middle class now navigates. What a sad and shameful predicament.
Yeah, but Obama has united us all with hope and change? - What happened to THAT?!!!.nm

Precisely what does this have to do with the - vanishing middle class?

and promised to help the middle class....everything he has proposed has done the exact opposite. The middle class is dying out. The rich are still staying rich....even though RICH democrats hate rich people. This administration seems to want to keep rich people rich and knock down the middle class so they are just as dependent on govt as the lower class is.
If this keeps up, there will be no middle class. So much for looking out for the middle class. I really wonder why both pubs and crats seem to have it out for us middle class folks. Neither party has done much to befriend us. They want to support the poor and keep the rich rich. I don't care how many times I hear a crat talk about the pubs wanting the rich to get richer....I don't see politicians in the crat party giving up their riches. Poor Al Gore and his....what was it...9 million or billion dollar home. Oh...those poor rich politicians.

テ「廬f you read my post, you will see that I also mentioned pubs and them not being the middle class's friend either. Guess you missed that part, huh?テ「 Not really. The question was rhetorical. Sorry about that.
テ「拔nlike some of you, I'm not blinded by party politics. I see all politicians for the crooks and liars that they are.テ「 My, my. Arenテ「冲 we special? Guess you told me...or is it us (as in you plural). Forgive me for asking, but what is nonpartisan about such remarks from your first post as
1. From the first day Obama opened his mouth and promised to help the middle class, everything he has proposed has done the exact opposite.
2. "THIS ADMINISTRATION seems to want to keep rich people rich and knock down the middle class so they are just as dependent on the govt as the lower class is"テ「ツヲessentially accusing it of wanting to create a welfare state. Sounds a tad biased. Silly me.
3. "They want to support the poor and keep the rich rich." Which republicans want to support the poor? Did I miss something here, or was that comment directed the テ「彡ratsテ「 side of that テ「彙oth pubs and cratsテ「 reference (especially in view of your statement cited in #3 above)?
4. While failing to understand that policies democrats propose and enact do not single out republican rich folks, but rather impact ALL rich folks (including politicians), your parting shot is also directed strictly toward the テ「彡rat partyテ「 and singles out Al Gore.

He lied through the campaign. Promising us the world and delivering nada. He has not made good on his campaign promises and the country is really suffering. Where is the fearless leader for the 2a.m. call...who knows. He's either playing golf, going on a vacation, or on a date night. All at the middle incomes expense. Meechelle's nice little vaca coming up...yup....our tax dollar hard at work for her to vaca in luxury. They were all empty words just to get elected.
The problem is he has proven so far he doesn't care about us - the middle income. The worst is that he (and with Biden in toe side by side) have all but basically come out and said to us...well I can't say those words here. Our dreams and hopes have been crushed and they stand around and laugh about it. Most of congress now - both sides are more concerned with themselves and accumulating more wealth for themselves (and now that Pelosi is 70 she doesn't want to raise the retirement age - oh yeah, no coincident there...go figure). They exempted themselves from the laws we have to live by.
Their plan is so blatantly obvious, but its just sickening to see the arrogance of them pretty much coming out destroying the middle class. They have to take our wealth and redistribute it to the poorer than us, so that we will now be poor with them. Nobody can plan for a future. They continue to send jobs overseas not caring that people in America want to work and want a job. They take our money and send it overseas to line the pockets of others.
It's just very very sickening and sad. I have lived long enough to see many republicans and democrats in positions of power. Whenever democrats have been in position the country has suffered. It's too bad. Many of the democrats presidents have been likeable, they just don't know how to effectively run a country or even show concern for the citizens. Unfortunately with this current crowd they are pushing so hard and so fast to destroy the American way of life. They don't care about Americans as a whole and they have proven it time and time again.
I'd love to see an independent one day in the position but that will never happen, but I'll take a republican over these things in their now. (thing is the nicest word I can thing for them without getting banned).
It is not against the law to be rich. You are avoiding the issue - AGAIN.

The post is about whether or not the Obama administration has done anything for the middle class and, by contrast, what exactly the GOP has done to reverse their descent. Please respond to the two posts that have provided detailed information on what the Obama administration has accomplished so far in that regard, and then contrast it against how the republican policy benefits the middle class, past, present and future.
May I suggeset to you that Obamas 2-hour golf break and his time out with the kids and wife are not relevant and bringing that into into the conversation is really quite absurd. It only serves to underscore what lengths you will go to to avoid the subject at hand. Try your best to stay on task.
Just words on paper. Obama is a fraud. Really, how much - better off are you today, huh?
[ In Reply To ..]
Just like the credit card law he put into place. Well, all that is doing for me is, since I pay my credit card in full every month, causing me to pay a FEE for doing so. Obama never looks at things indepth enough, just wants to LOOK good politically. Close Gitmo without a plan, the healthcare disaster, the stimulus bill disaster. The list will only get longer.
Obama is not charging that fee. - The credit card company is.

My husband qualified for an ARC small business loan. We paid off existing loans, added 3 employees, bought new equipment and pay off the ARC balance in 7 months. I can say we are doing much better than before he took office.

In fact I'd like to be rich one day. But not with the current admin will anyone ever be rich (except politicians, wall street, big business CEOs, union leaders, etc). The middle class has no hope for a future.
As to the other posts I will respond when I want to.
Oh yes...you forgot one little minor tiny itsy bitsy detail...these are not just a 2 hour golf breaks. These are endless games of golf and numerous vacations and date nights (at our expense of course) when there is a crisis at hand.
Maybe you should try to stay on task. The post was not about rich people.
These petty snipes are such a drag. - and so pointless
[ In Reply To ..]
not to mention laced with Fox falsehoods.
Well, since I said the same exact words that the poster - I replied to said...sm
[ In Reply To ..]
The petty snipes start with him/her. Yes, yes I know. Two wrongs doesn't make a right. I should not have stooped as low as he/she did, but it's just hard not to reply to snipes/snarky comments without repeating back the sames words they said.
As for "assuming" fox is in there somewhere, please do tell...what is it you think I repeated that evidently is a "fox falsehood". Since you don't know where I get my news sources (which most happen to be off the internet) that's all your post was...an assumption - and you know what they say about assuming.
So...nothing to say about the actual context of the discussion...hmmm amazing.
Umm, not by my read. - Get a clue.
[ In Reply To ..]
Regardless of where you get your news, you post echoes Fox falsehoods and petty non issues. Nobody anywhere except on Fox and in the fringe blogosphere is making an issue of that absurd golf-vacation-date night drivel.
Speaking of actual context of the disussion, where have you addressed Obama vs GOP policies that help the middle class?
Umm...then you should read it again - you get a clue
[ In Reply To ..]
Since you didn't really read it I will copy and paste here:
AGAIN wrote: Try your best to stay on task.
I replied: Maybe you should try to stay on task.
So...now I'M accused of snipes??? Gotta laugh at that one.
Personally you don't care or know where I get my news. I don't care what station it echoes. I read many websites and come to my own conclusions. You keep regurgitating "Fox falsehoods" yet you don't even have any proof to back up that claim, and since I don't know what "falsehoods" you are talking about I have no idea on how to even address that statement.
AND...since I did not reply to the post you are referring to, there is no discussion. If I wanted to discuss that I would have addressed that with the poster who actually posted the thread regarding that.
So...to make it really simple - here goes...
The post I replied to talked about Obama promising to help the middle class and has not done anything to help the middle class. She/he spoke about the middle class dying out and if it keeps up there will be no middle class. "So much looking out for the middle class". Neither party has done much to help us. They want to support the poor and keep the rich rich. The poster said they don't care how many times they hear the crats talking about the pubs wanting the rich to get richer, and how they don't see anyone in the crat party giving up their riches (like poor Al Gore and his 9 million dollar home. "oh those poor rich politicians".
THAT is the post I replied to. I replied that I have seen it and so has pretty much everyone I know. I spoke that so far nobody has shown that they care about the middle class and that they want to redistribute our wealth to give to the poor to bring us down to being poor. It's sickening and sad and whenever I see democrats in office the country suffers. I wrote many of the democrat presidents are likeable, they just don't know how to effective run the country or show they care about the middle class. AND I'd like to see an indepedent in office one day.
So...I get a response back that it's not against the law to be rich. I'm thinking huh?? I never said anything about it being against the law to be rich. So because I'm not drooling and writing posts of admiration and deep love for yours truly you ASSUME I am doing something about fox falsehoods. What it is I don't know because that just doesn't make any sense. Then when asked what fox falsehoods are you talking about I just get those words regurgitated with no explanation as to why someone would say something that insane. Maybe you should address the issue of the fox falsehoods you supposedly think I'm doing. Still can't figure that one out. I don't even think there is such a thing as doing a fox falsehood, and since these are my thoughts I'm sure what I wrote was not even discussed on Fox. That's the problem with assuming. It really makes the people doing the assuming look foolish.
And on top of that. The person who called herself AGAIN tells me to "stay on task" and when I write back "you need to stay on task because the post was not about rich people" I'm accused of "petty snipes"??? News flash - tell it to the person I replied to because I repeated her words right back to her.
And to the one who wrote that I am avoiding the issue....I addressed the issue that the poster wrote about so there was nothing to avoid.
As for the issues about Obama and GOP policies I will reply to that actual post that directly relates to that subject.
Since my posts and the replies were not talking about that issues you supposedly want to talk about and was an entirely different thread there was nothing to reply to about that subject matter to this poster I replied to.
Okay, hope that makes it easy for you to understand. I don't know how much more simple I can make it?

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. — An elderly central Pennsylvania couple is fighting a court order forcing them to use township-supplied water because they say the chlorine in it makes the woman sick.
