Same president. Same senate and house leaders. Over 90%+ of encumbants were re-elected.
What insanity, doing the same things and expecting a different result.
We desparately need term limits at all levels of government.
Both sides have to stop demonizing the other side. There are just as many corrupt liberals as conservatives as democrats as republicans, etc. Your liberal opinion isn't truth or better and my conservative opinion isn't evil.
We are on a path to George Orwell's 1984 and you are in denial if you cannot see it. Both parties have put us on this path. We need a new party. Both of our parties are so corrupt. The founders of our country did not intend for the positions of senator or representative to be careers. It was supposed to be a citizens legislature. Most of the people in office are in the so called "1%" (either prior to being elected or after being elected). Every law passed by congress exempts congress from having to follow it. Do as I say not as I do.
Why do we give so much power to the government? Do you really believe they know what is better for us than we do? They can't often even manage their own lives and you expect them to do a better job managing ours?
Obamacare is bad law. The Stimulus was bad law. I don't buy the argument that something is better than nothing. Something good is better than something crappy. Doing nothing is better than doing something bad.
The government cannot force the economy to improve but it sure can put obstacles in the way to prevent it from improving.
Obama wanting to "invest" (code word for spend more of our money) in making college more affordable is insane when we have so many college graduates un or underemployed. Why do we focus so much on white collar jobs? There are so many good paying blue collar jobs (electricians, plumbers, welders, etc) that people are just not getting trained for.
On a final note, stop saying "invest". Just be honest and use the accurate word "spend".
