13 Benghazis under Bush

Posted: Jan 16, 2014

The State Department had warned of a potential strike against the Saudi days before gunmen infiltrated the Al Hamra Oasis Village and two others killing 36 people and wounding 160. This was the most devastating attack on a State Department employees to occur under Bush. The Saudi government cracked down on terrorists group but that did not prevent another attack to occur a year later in Jeddah.;

And did Bush blame a YouTube - video?

[ In Reply To ..]
IMO, it's not the attack itself that's so upsetting - people that go to countries like those know the risks, as do their families. It's the lying about it by so many in this administration afterwards that has so many people upset.

lying afterward versus lying before... - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Bush Administration lied before.

IMO there were no lies after Benghazi, maybe premature speculation which was a mistake, but the Bush Administration outright misled Congress and the American people which resulted in a devastated America. That is a huge difference.

Read up about Patricia Smith. - She was lied to by

HC and YOUR president. It was a cold, heartless lie to Ms. Smith's face. Please WAKE UP!!!
For those who don't know her, she was the mother - of the civilian who was killed.
[ In Reply To ..]
Clinton and BO looked her straight in the face and made empty promises to her and lied to her face, a grieving mother who only wanted answers.
Nice try. Is that life more important than the thousands who died by GW's lies? - YOUR president

Just to say, "What's your point?" Okay, what's yours?
My point was that I misunderstood the previous post. Simple - as that.
[ In Reply To ..]
And I explained why I misunderstood it. It was on me and I apologized. I even put a happy face... Why so hostile?

well, here's something the Secretary of State said - that might ring a bell (sm)

RICE: I remember very well that the president was aware that there were issues inside the United States. He talked to people about this. But I don't remember the al Qaeda cells as being something that we were told we needed to do something about.

and then he jets off to Vegas to campaign to be re-elected. - Isn't one mistake enough?

It is sad. Maybe you should have worded it - differently.

is the meaning of weep unclear to you? - nm

You'll never get it. - No further response.

[ In Reply To ..]
Never mind. I feel it was insensitive. You don't. We'll disagree, okay?

first you say I don't value life - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Then you declare me desperate and cold-hearted. Now I am merely insensitive. Saying I'll never get it is a far cry from "we'll disagree." I'm still trying to figure out what you're saying.
I said... - sm

...it "appears"...and it "sounds" and "it was"... I did not "declare" "you" anything. TGIF! Have a good weekend.

TP Gets Its Wish--Thanks To Bush's Tax Cuts.Aug 05, 2011
Quote from S&P on downgrade: Compared with previous projections, our revised base case scenario now assumes that the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, due to expire by the end of 2012,remain in place. We have changed our assumption on this because the majority of Republicans in Congress continue to resist any measure that would raise revenues, a position we believe Congress reinforced by passing the act. ...

That Bush Guy--not So Bad AfterallNov 09, 2010
WASHINGTON -- The conventional wisdom, at least in some parts of the political press, held that President George W. Bush did the Democrats a disservice by not launching his book tour before the 2010 elections. The thought process being that a reminder of the follies of his administration would have caused series headaches for the Republican Party, which was pledging that they had moved beyond the Bush years. On at least one policy front, however, it seems likely that the Obama White House would ...

We knew it wasn't pretty; these are the gruesome details: To view clip http://www.americablog.com/2010/10/p...h-economy.html Notice Bush's list at about 1:05 of the clip — the cuts will help "businesses that create jobs," those at the "low end of the economic ladder," and "small businesses." The first isn't true unless you replace jobs with profits. The second is just a lie. And the third isn't true unless you replace small businesses with billionaires. ("Repl ...

everything telling others not to point fingers?  Are you kidding me?   Don't point fingers. Don't make excuses. Jeb Bush Said He Was Running For PresidentMay 28, 2015
I know it is really difficult for Republicans to realize this, but you don't get to play both sides of the line and get away with it, at least in this much of the limelight. By not declaring his candidacy, Bush is skating a fine legal line. All of those things just mentioned would be violations of campaign finance laws, because an official candidate is not allowed to coordinate with their Super PAC or accept any individual donation over $2,700 per election. So by not “officially ...

Dems Considering Keeping Bush Tax CutsJul 22, 2010
Democrats are considering a plan to delay tax hikes on the wealthy for two years because the economic recovery is slow and they fear getting crushed in November’s election.  It could mean a big reprieve for families earning $250,000 and above annually.  President George W. Bush’s tax cuts will expire at the end of the year unless Congress acts to delay their sunset.  Some Democrats are now arguing forcefully that a delay is a win-win plan that would help the federal ...

were honorable men who put their country first in a time of crisis.   "Because Republicans have frequently likened President Obama to Jimmy Carter, we were curious to learn how candidate Ronald Reagan responded to the worst foreign policy disaster on Carter’s watch — the failed mission to rescue U.S. diplomats in Iran, resulting in the deaths of eight servicemen.  In April 1980, Reagan was still battling George H.W. Why George W. Bush Never Left D.C. Until The Day After ChristmasDec 29, 2014
Like many Americans, U.S. presidents often take time off around the holidays. However, according to journalist Joseph Curl, who previously covered the White House, former President George W. Bush went on Christmas vacation in a way that stands in direct contrast to President Barack Obama. “[H]ere’s the thing: In December, we never left Washington, D.C., until the day after Christmas. Never. Mr. Bush and his wife, Laura, would always depart the White House a few days before the holi ...
