BUSH/CHENEY **ARE** TO BLAME - DEAL WITH IT

Posted: Jan 28, 2010

EARTH TO BUSH DEFENDERS!!

Apparently people have incredibly short memories.

When the BUSH/CHENEY war machine 'walked in the door' they did so with BLUEPRINTS of how they start wars that most definitely were manufactured - and they used this to enable them to dismantle the CONSTITUTION.  We won't even get started on what they did to enviromental issues, the economy etc., and the energy policy...

Clinton was no saint.  But we stopped breathing easy the DAY after these two frauds were installed in our whitehouse, and didn't breathe easy again until the day O walked in the door and - as he reminded us last night - with a TRILLION dollar deficit that did not exist when BUSH entered.  He walked into a disaster - WE SHOULD BE HUGELY GREATFUL that the country did not implode during his first year in office!  Instead tiny-minded people want to knit pick and twist the facts in order to try to torpedo his genuine efforts to help US ALL.  Shame on you - you know who you are.

deal with it:  Bush and Cheney (GOP) together with the cowed Congress are to blame.  Here's hoping that OBAMA can effect enough changes to STOP THE HEMORRHAGING and dare we hope heal a few wounds?

11.9 TRILLION, up 10 TRILLION IN LESS THAN 1 YEAR!! Your right, we will have to DEAL with it. Hitler promised change as well!

How's that O'BAMA change workin for ya?

Didn't they fanagle it so the war dollars didn't show up in the actual "budget"? - Anoni~

[ In Reply To ..]
I've read and heard that in numerous places. They were sneaky about everything they did, rewriting the Constitution as they went along to get around the checks and balances that attempted to get in their way.

Obama's not perfect by any means, but if he were as bad as a lot of you would like the rest of us to think he could simply utter a few incantations and have us believe that the SOTU is peachy keen, instead of crappy like it is.

And people wonder why O has spent so much - PEOPLE LISTEN

[ In Reply To ..]
IT WAS THE COST OF CLEANING UP. HE HAD NO CHOICE!!!! Previous administration thought they would leave the white house with it looking as if everything was in order and the "economy is strong."

Didn't you hear him - He hated doing it.
Like a house of cards his foot slipped and hit on his way out. - So true!! NM

So I'm over budget and it's not working, so what the heck, I'll do like OB spend over what I should this year and start the budget over next year. Lucky he's got all the money he does and doesn't have to be on a budget. Oh wait, it's MY money he's got (and every other politician). I guess his campaign for his next term (gag me) should be "do as I say, not as I do?

Good point! ..and he can just borrow more money from - China until they OWN us.nm

BTW, you really need to stop blaming Bush and Cheney for everything.

Why should they stop blaming Bush? O does it on a regular basis. They're just following what their annointed one tells them and they believe it all.

Humiliate the Supreme Court? You listen to Sarah Palin too much. - really?

[ In Reply To ..]
So, I guess you're down with that stupid reversal by the SC the other day to give unfettered monetary license to the greedy corporations so they'll have even MORE control of Congress! Get real! Those 5 goobers that got the majority SHOULD be embarrassed by their complete disregard for what is best for this country!!

I agree - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
that calling out the supreme court was a bad idea. Doesn't matter if their decision was bad or good. The SOTU address is not the time. Could come back to haunt O in the future.

You obviously have NO respect for the SC either. - TX

[ In Reply To ..]
Did you learn that from Obama? He is such a divider in the way he speaks, and all this reaching his hand across the aisle is such a lie. I can see why you are on his side. You are just like him. I do not agree with the SC decision, but I respect the SC and would not embarrass them on purpose in front of the nation. That was tacky, tasteless, and really wrong. I bet no president in history has done such a thing. Shame on him and his arrogant ways.

Its about to be well publicized that what Obama said - Fargo

to the SC last night was "factually incorrect"... bet he fires the person that added it into his speech.

As you've no doubt heard by now, in an extraordinary escalation of tension between President Barack Obama and the sitting justices of the Supreme Court during last night's State of the Union address, Justice Samuel Alito gave us this year's "Joe Wilson moment" by shaking his head and mouthing "Not true..." in response to the following statement by the President:

With all due deference to separation of powers, last week the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests -- including foreign corporations -- to spend without limit in our elections. Well I don't think American elections should be bankrolled by America's most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities.

Conservatives and progressives may argue this morning about whether President Obama should have criticized the Court and about the severity of Justice Alito's breach of protocol, but Justice Alito faces a bigger problem: Obama's comment is true.

[ In Reply To ..]
Let me give you an example of the loophole around the foreign influence:

Let's take Medquist, for example. American company, Indian-owned. Do you really think that the majority Indian shareholders would not have a say in what member of Congress they chose to heap with unlimited $$$ to "lean their way"?

Now, think of ALL the other American companies that have foreign-owned interests. Get it?
You dont get it. WHAT OBAMA SAID WAS FACTUALLY - INCORRECT. He is just a puppet.nm

How about Obama check over his speech first? - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
He didn't write the speech and if this truly was an error, as CIC, he should have caught it because he should know better. That is one of conservatives' fears is his extreme lack of experience. If he knew what he was doing, why does he need something like 40 plus czars? And he can hardly find one who isn't corrupt.

Time to wean away from your teletubby prompter "Mr. Great Orator/Communicator". Reagan was a great communicator. Obama is not.
Maybe we should look into Obama campaign - Just a suggestion

He needs to own up to his violations of campaign finance law.

Did anyone notice the police officers - during the SOTU

[ In Reply To ..]
They were sitting next to FLOTUS. Those were the two civilian police officers from Fort Hood. I know President Bush would have acknowledged them and thanked them for their heroism.

I saw 'em and I expected recognition as well. - sigh

[ In Reply To ..]
However, the big O didn't even acknowledge them sitting there. He was too busy spinning his agenda. I know the man has personality, but for pete's sake he's spewing the same ol' stuff he ran his campaign on.....WHICH HE HAS NOT COME CLOSE TO DELIVERING. And, yes, one year is long enough to show us he is doing that, or at the very least intends to.

IMHO, he's so busy blaming Bush for the past and racking up our deficit for the future that he quite frankly hasn't had time to touch on all the wonderful, miraculous things he is going to do for our country.

The man's arrogance is unbelievable, purely unfathomable to me. I still sit here shaking my head as to the way he got into office. God help us because it has become quite clear that the big O is not.
Agreed, and of course should have acknowledged - the police officers, but what would
[ In Reply To ..]
you expect from a man who has said the police acted "stupidly" in the past. Obama is really a disgrace.

Very well said!

Oh brother....not this excuse again - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
First let me say I don't vote. I have not liked the choices we have had since Reagan. So...whether Clinton, Bush, Gore, Obama, Kerry, etc is ever elected I have nothing to do with it. I have not felt good about any of them, hence I don't vote. Give me a good candidate and I'll vote.

With that said... Is there ever going to be a time where people hold President Obama responsible for the decisions he is making. Decisions that have nothing to do with Bush? I doubt it. Unless of course it's something good. Then you'll attribute that to him, but if there is something bad you'll blame Bush. So Bush and Cheney are responsible for what? I know they are responsible for the war. They can take full credit for that. No arguments there.

Clinton - I could care less about the Monica thing and what he did with his personal life. But what he did that affected the country (economy, etc) was not good. Our taxes were the highest that I can remember in history. DH and I both had jobs, lived in a one bedroom apartment, borrowed furniture, used car, but couldn't afford anything. Taxes were over 30% and even at the end of the year we'd always owe over $1000 still. We never went anywhere, never took a vacation. No kids, no credit cards, no dinners out. No nothing. Times were very hard during Clinton years. I rejoiced the day he left office, as did a lot of people. I didn't like Bush for many many reasons, but I'll tell you this. After he took office our taxes went down. We finally took our first vacation in over 8 years. Each year after paying taxes we got money back (i.e. we paid too much throughout the year). We could go out to eat, buy some clothes, and move to rent a house and start to feel like we had self worth and a future to build on.

Yes, Obama took on a lot of problems when he came to office, however.... his spend, spend, spend, spend, spend is not Bush's fault. That needs to stop there. His NONTRANSPARENT administration is not Bush's fault. His continuing the war when he said he would end it is not Bush's fault. His locking republicans out of important meetings and decisions that they should be included in as they are there representing us is not Bush's fault. His date nights with Michelle costing the tax papers $$$$$$$$$$$, while the rest of the country is out of work is not Bush's fault. His frat parties at the white house are not Bush's fault. His bowing to world leaders is not Bush's fault. His telling all the other countries leaders that Americans are all greedy, ungrateful, etc people is not Bush's fault. His not being able to read a speech prepared without teleprompters is not Bush's fault. Him continuing to send jobs overseas is not Bush's fault. His not leading the country in the right direction is not Bush's fault.

Who is to blame? All depends on what issue you are talking about. The economy? That would be congresses fault. Right now congress is democrat majority. They are the ones pushing for a health care bill that will be the destruction of our country. They are the ones spending, spending, spending. Pork filled bills. The democratic congress. Deal with it.

You know the funniest thing about everyone always blaming Bush? He didn't have a say in what went on. He was a puppet and just did what he was told to. He didn't make the decisions. He was just a talking head that spoke when spoken to. So if you are going to blame anyone you need to blame the people behind him, behind Obama, behind Clinton, etc.
