Thanks for keeping us safe Bush...

Posted: Sep 11, 2012

except for that one time when you didn't.  Wow!  Multiple warnings of terrorist attack made known to President Bush before attack on 9/11/2001; but Republicans are always saying Bush kept us safe:

May 1:  “Group presently in the United States.”

June 22:  “Attack could be imminent.”

June 29:  “Dramatic consequences from attack.”

July 1:  “Attack will occur soon.”

August 6:  “Bin Laden determined to strike in U.S.”

;

Yes, thank you President Bush - sm

for thwarting other attacks that we'll probably never be privy to, and keeping the post 9-11 conflict out of the US. You were the best man for the job and I'm proud of the way you handled it.

Too bad the character is... - Porky Pig

It all turned out just as though he'd choreographed it that way. Not that he's bright enough; good thing he had others ready and willing to do it for him. All he had to do was sign on the line that is dotted. (And yes, there's lots of guilt to go along for the co-signers.) There's lots of money to be made in a war. No wonder he always had that sappy snicker on his face.

I think Bush did what he thought was right. I do not think he is dumb. However, the one before him, Clinton, was not very smart. He signed NAFTA two months prior to leaving office.
I read on a post somewhere that he had been advised regarding a serious attack on our country. These people that flew the planes had to get their training somewhere -- and I think it was in our country. At any rate, my thoughts and prayers are with the survivors and the families of the people who lost their lives due to it.

Me too. Very proud. A man of character-Aunt Sue - I agree; far above the low class slop in WH now

You are so right. All that's there now is low class, - from top to bottom.

So why wasn't this "hero" at the RNC?...lolol - JTBB

[ In Reply To ..]
Don't you think if he was that great then the RNC would be begging him to make an appearance? Instead, they invoked the name of Bush less times than the DNC did. In fact, the only one who really talked about him was his brother, and that was really just pitiful. Seriously...even pubs with half a brain know Bush was a catastrophic failure including taking us to the brink of a depression, starting 2 wars that were not paid for or necessary, adding Medicare D which wasn't paid for, tax breaks for the rich that weren't paid for...and of course...9-11 happened on his watch. No amount of chest pounding after the fact can change that. You do know your "fiscally conservative" boy Ryan voted for ALL of those unpaid for items right?

I have an idea - why don't you ask him yourself?

[ In Reply To ..]
Maybe he chose not to be there. But you could ask him, you know. He's very personable. Unlike Obama where you have to undergo a background check and have your question approved before asking it.
That's very true. My friend lives in Dallas and she (sm) - Texan

I'm not sure who you are talking to, but (sm) - Aunt Sue

[ In Reply To ..]
I never said Bush was a hero. I said he was a man of character. He had principles, a conscience, and a soul. He made mistakes. Did I forget to say he was human? The low life you have occupying the WH now that you call "your President" has none of the above.
If I were talking to you I would have replied to your post...nm - JTBB

They did do a tribute to President Bush at the RNC. Guess you missed it.

Also, it's a known fact that there was a problem with the info prior, and after, 911 from the Secret Service, CIA, and allie's info about attacking the USA. Did you miss that, too? There's a government website that documents all this. I'll get the address for you if you like.

Dems Considering Keeping Bush Tax CutsJul 22, 2010
Democrats are considering a plan to delay tax hikes on the wealthy for two years because the economic recovery is slow and they fear getting crushed in November’s election.  It could mean a big reprieve for families earning $250,000 and above annually.  President George W. Bush’s tax cuts will expire at the end of the year unless Congress acts to delay their sunset.  Some Democrats are now arguing forcefully that a delay is a win-win plan that would help the federal ...

Safe School CzarOct 22, 2009
A teacher was told by a 15-year-old high school sophomore that he was having homosexual sex with an "older man." At the very least, statutory rape occurred. Fox News reported that the teacher violated a state law requiring that he report the abuse. That former teacher, Kevin Jennings, is President Obama's "safe school czar." It's getting hard to keep track of all of this president's problematic appointments. Clearly, the process for vetting White House employees has broken down. I ...

That Bush Guy--not So Bad AfterallNov 09, 2010
WASHINGTON -- The conventional wisdom, at least in some parts of the political press, held that President George W.
