I recently started a running program and I love it. I have had arthroscopic surgery on both knees, left knee 2 years ago, and right knee in 1998 and then again in 2009. I have tried to take really good care of my knees, but really have been wanting to run for quite awhile now so just decided to do it, because I'm 52, I'm menopausal and gaining weight whereas I've never had a problem with that before, and just for my mental well-being. I don't do the high-impact running, just jogging really, but do it at a good, steady pace. My question is, does anyone know of a good running shoe for a person with knee problems such as mine. I tend to wear out my shoe soles on the outside, seems like that is where my heel strike is. I only run for about 30 to 50 minutes per day, about 6 to 7 days per week. I've been to several different shoe stores and have gotten several differing opinions on a good running shoe, and I've done some online research as well, but there seem to be so many options, how does one know? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.
