Just wondering how you can compare a liberal blogger's comments to those of political candidates such as Sarah Palin and Sharron Angle.

supposition, and all the facts right now point to the shooter being liberal, not conservative, why would an ultraconservative woman/women be where he would get his motivation to shoot?
If he was motivated, he would be going to far left liberal sites where his nuttiness would be embraced...he blogged himself for pete's sake!! Why on earth would he be going to sarah palin's website?

THAT is how I can compare them. And I can promise you, the blogs is where the real violence and rhetoric is...in no uncertain terms, like shoot them in the head.

Have you even read up on the shooter? He kept a letter from a Giffords' meet and greet from 2007 in his safe along with the assassination note. The kid has been fixated on her since 2007. LONG before any rhetoric from Sharron Angle OR Sarah Palin.

Just curious...what makes you think a deranged mind would discount information from a liberal blogger and embrace information from someone running for office?

his smile and his eyes. To me, he looks happy to be in that situation.

Some are already talking about gun control and controlling freedom of speech, all because of AZ's lax gun laws and because of those pointing fingers and accusations immediately after the shootings.

I guess now that more info is coming out about this kook, some faces are red, as they should be, for jumping to conclusions.

If we could get some Congressmen to follow the rules they want everyone else to follow, I don't think they'd be so quick to condemn/accuse/point fingers.

I also think the sheriff of Pima County should lose his job for starting this whole crap shoot. He is more to blame than anyone. As one newspaper stated, "this is not the time or place to have a political agenda." I agree fully with that statement.

Now Wikileak's Assange is calling for Palin and Huckabee to be brought up on charges. Real nice coming from someone whose whole agenda has relied on freedom of speech as the reason why he is posting all his damaging reports.

I guess anyone claiming to know something would still be speculating. Anyway, the sheriff has as much right to state his beliefs as "the right" does. The violent imagery used by the tea party fringe and some media is a different issue all together. It was an issue all through the presidential campaign and it still is today. Hopefully, we will all wake up and recognize that.

Sorry, but my opinion is if you are of sound mind and body, anything said by anyone-be it political or otherwise- should be taken with a grain of salt until the full story comes out and not putting the horse before the cart as some do.

I didn't post much yesterday because I wanted to see what other commentators had to say and I wasn't surprised how they all said they should tone down the rhetoric and then start spewing the same old, same old, trying to blame one party or another.

Don't forget Ft. Hood and 9/11. We weren't supposed to jump to conclusions about the Muslims. Yet, here we are jumping to conclusions the very first hour. Those that did [jump to conclusions] without FACTS should be ashamed and apologize for their antics. All it does is tear our country apart even further.

I could name some quotes from the left that were just as bad as those you blame on the right but I won't because it doesn't serve any purpose.

All I know is the people that were wounded and the families of the ones that were killed should be in our prayers and we should be thinking about them. They deserve it.

I would not equate him with any person on earth that he looks like (not even the ones I hate). He definitely looked like a creep. I don't know if I'd use the word evil, but just a very disturbed individual.

I would be really interested to know why he did this. It's not political, it's just hate, and why do people hate others so much that they want to kill them. I don't understand it, but I find it interesting. What makes a mind turn like that. I heard people say he was normal and within the last year or so he started changing...why? That's what I would like to know.

I feel for the friends and family of the ones lost at the fate of this disturbed person, and how many others out there are like him. It could be anyone anywhere.
