I've had that Barenaked Ladies song in my head all day and was wondering...if I actually had a million dollars what would I do with it? (After taxes get taken out that is) Pay off my house Pay off credit cards Pay off medical bills Invest more in my 401k Donate to charities Pay off parents' debt Buy parents a house Buy sister a house Buy new vehicles for me/hubby Remodel my house like on HGTV Start college funds for our Godchildren Take a vacation with first class airfare Drop my hours down to PT (need the benefits) Is there any money left? LOL So, if you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?;

[ In Reply To ..]..You probably wouldn't do medical transcription part-time because you need the benefits, think about it... Most places don't offer benefits to part-time employees. The first thing I would do would be to quit my job and not work at all, at least for a while and do volunteer work. I would definitely get out of debt. I would also buy a new vehicle. I don't own a house so would probably buy one. I'd take a vacation but wouldn't waste my money on first class. If I invested carefully, the remainder of the $1 million might come in handy later when I need to go to the nursing home.

Take some courses in something fun like another language.
Take some cooking/baking classes.
Learn to play the cello.
Order Netflix.
Monthly pedicures.
Invest.
