Question about end stage OA in both knees (sm)

Quite suddenly about a year and a half ago my knees started with this awful crackly noise when I bend them. No injury or anything. Since then it has become much worse. I haven't been to the doctor about it because they don't hurt. I'm thinking about taking some Osteo-Bi-Flex to see if that helps. It's expensive though. Anybody have any experience taking this stuff, and does it work? ...

I was diagnosed with arthritis in my right knee in January and I cannot believe how fast it is progressing. I now have it in both knees. Transcribing makes it really ache because of the foot pedal. I take Vicodin but some days that doesn't help and sometimes it makes me very sleepy. Does anyone know of anything else I can try?
