I thought Jon Bon Jovi *and* Richie Sambora were both gorgeous, Jon being a bit cuter and both of them were really good singers.

He wasn't in a hair band but Michael Jackson was cute in his Thriller days. After that, well, I guess he got the Planet Of The Apes look he was hoping for. I grew up on his music and loved it. He had so much talent. RIP, Michael. I hope they fry those doctors who were your enablers.

I had a huge poster of Kip Winger in my first apartment.

There's an excellent You Tube video of Skid Row and G&R performing at the same concert and SR is doing "I remember you". Bach walks out on the stage sans shirt. OMG. My heart races when I think about it.

Mark Slaughter gets an A plus in my book too but Brett Michaels was soooooo hot!

He was so hot they probably had to follow him around with fire extinguishers. I saw an interview with him recently and he's still gorgeous and seems like a very nice person.

I love the "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" video. It's on Youtube.

Question About Hair. I Am Older And Have Rather Fine Hair But I Do Jan 24, 2017
get it foiled with some color in it.  I have been thinking about a curly perm but I am not sure what kind to get and I would have my hairdresser do it.  I dont want a fuzz ball so I am wondering if anyone here has tried this on colored hair just streaked color.  I want a good perm that would last for a while and have curl to it but not tight.  My hairdresser does not carrying prems anymore and the company they deal with does not sell them either.  They are expensive ...

Bureau Chiefs Band Together For FoxOct 26, 2009
After the White House tried keeping got involved with Treasury's decision whether or not to allow Fox News in a round robin of interviews with "pay czar" Kenneth Feinberg, the five networks bureau chiefs banded together until Fox was permitted in. The joint action shows one of the difficulties if the administration tries to marginalize Fox, especially when that disrupts the network pool. (Fox's own report via Johnny Dollar). UPDATE: From what I hear, the situation was more between Tr ...

Reaching The End Of My Rope- Lap Band?Feb 13, 2013
I am very unhappy right now. I am very overweight but have gone to my endocrinologist to see if anything can be done to help me out. I do have hypothyroidism but my weight has gone steadily up and up and I weigh now more than ever in my life. I was started on Metformin and went from 500 up to 1500 mg and went back today and on that have gained 6 lb in 5 weeks. I am very uncomfortable in my clothes, almost busting out my clothes. Saw a NP today who was probably about 6 feet or little more and l ...

Iliotibial Band Syndrome.Sep 30, 2014
So far, the reading I've done on it suggests IT-band-stretching exercises, a foam roller for massage, etc.  Also hip-strengthening exercises.  Have any of you had this, and what did you find worked best for the pain?  (Note:  The pain is located on the outside back of the knee, near the top of the fibula.  Exacerbated by sitting then getting up, climbing and descending stairs, aerobics class, rollerblading, etc.  Biking is a little less painful.) ...

I Thought Christie Looked Different. He Had Lap-band!May 07, 2013
I am the biggest liberal you'll find, but I'm happy to see Chrstie has taken steps to improve his health. Speculation is he's doing it for political reasons.  As a Democrat, Christie is one of the few Republicans I respect.  He seems to show a genuine interest in the people he serves.  Even though I don't agree with his politics, he didn't allow political consequences to come in the way of showiing Obama respect, and he takes a more common sense approach r ...

Is There Any Help For My HairMay 01, 2011
I understand as we grow older our bodies change, skin gets saggy, wrinkled, loses elasticity, etc and our hair changes.  What I'm wondering is this.  Is there a product, vitamin, or whatever that can make your hair look younger and healthier.  Growing up I had beautiful hair, soft natural curls that the hairdressers said people would die to have curls that are natural like that.  Now at 51 years old my hair is coarse, and frizzy.  I can find some curls here and ther ...

Dog HairJun 14, 2011
For those of you with dogs that shed (like my Golden), can you share you grooming schedule and favorite brush? I've used to use a rake but found a tool that's cheaper than a Furminator (sp?) and doesn't rip the skin. It's made by Oster and called a Shedzilla. I've been brushing him every couple of days but this time of year, I'm wondering if I should do it more often? I like to do it outside to keep the fur out of the house as much as possible. ...

OK Folks. I Haven't Been Here For A While...smMar 20, 2012
Phew, it has gotten really nasty on this board with each side acusing the other of insults and nastiness.  All I have to say is there are none so blind as those who will not see.  I also see a lot of ganging up and bullying.  Therefore, I am going to try to start keeping some sort of score.  At the very least, maybe it will encourage people to be more civil to one another.  Everyone should also understand that on most political forums there are people who drive by and po ...

Please be careful as to making accusations then posting on Facebook. In the state where I live, a man scooped up a child (not known to the child or the family), in a park in an attempt to protect the child from a stalker he noticed who was taking pictures of the little girl while she was frolicking in a water fountain in her bathing suit. The Good Samaritan didn't see any adults close by who were paying attention to the child. Meanwhile, some woman had whipped out her cell phone and too ...

Hair Falling OutFeb 04, 2012
I am devastated right now.  I had long, thick beautiful hair and over the past couple of months I have noticed a big change in it.  Now it is falling out!  Long strands just letting loose.  At this rate, I will be bald in a couple of weeks and that is not an exaggeration.  It doesn't even look or feel like hair.  It is shriveling up and is very light and falling out!  How and why can this happen and will it stop?  Has this happened to anyone? ...

Help - Need Hair Color FixFeb 01, 2010
A few days ago I colored my hair black.  The box said (and looked like it would be a soft black), and it turned out way blacker than I imagined (if that's possible).  I usually go brown, but the reason I went black was to try to get back to as close as my natural color while the gray is coming in.  I really didn't want to color my hair, however, between the brown I last colored it, the gray coming in, and the "soft" black that was mixed in with the gray I had too many co ...

I Have A Hair Question Too, For Those Of You With - SmMay 01, 2011
alopecia areata, have you tried any home remeadies that have worked?  I have gone to the dermatoloigst, have received 3 sets of cortisone shots to the scalp so far, no luck, just a few fine hairs coming in.  It should have all grown back at this point from the injections.  So now we are waiting a year to see if anything changes (been about 2 years already so looks pretty permanent right now).  Doc gave me samples of Protopic but basically said she did not expect it to work bu ...

Do You Wash Your Hair Every Day?Jul 02, 2010
I know they say to only wash your hair every other day but I have never been able to do that. I shampoo/condition my hair every day as I cannot stand the feeling of my hair being dirty or greasy-looking or whatever. I am 28 and have pretty long hair and my hair has always been really healthy so I have never tried to force myself to not wash it everyday. Does it really damage your hair? ...

Pink HairAug 03, 2010
Can anyone recommend a product that will cover gray/white roots without turning my hair a pink color?  Some years ago I was using over the counter color and was actually approached by people, telling me my hair was "purple."  I told my stylist and she said the over  the counter products have a violet base, and when applied to brown hair it gives a pretty highlight.  If you apply it to hair that has lost its color it soaks up the violet color and that's what you see.  ...

Wen Hair Care?Apr 15, 2012
Battling insomnia last night, I watched an infomercial for this product and the thought behind it makes sense to keep one's hair at its healthiest (especially if platinum blond, like I currently am).
