Ferguson, Missouri, braces for grand jury decision, new protests

"Tensions were building in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, Missouri, on Monday as the community girded for a decision by a grand jury over whether to indict the white police officer who fatally shot an unarmed black teen in August.

The shooting sparked weeks of unrest and ongoing demonstrations, and some groups have threatened widespread protests if Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson is not charged with a crime in the death of Michael Brown, 18."

Right ... just ignore and disrespect the grand jury's decision, if Officer Wilson is acquitted, and take the law into your own hands? Some people believe violence is always the cure when you don't get your own way.

burned and looted even before the facts of the case were presented because they could not control their prejudiced anger. Maybe I do have the right to feel superior to anyone who resorts to property destruction and violence to make their statement.

It does not sound as if some people in Missouri are feeling smug or superior. It sounds like they are preparing for the inevitable, if history repeats itself, and it will.

Maybe an effort to distance himself from the "bad" cops. Maybe helps Ferguson in their civil rights law suit. And, IMO, (and only my opinion) they might just indict Darren Wilson after all.
