Brown Mascara

Can anyone suggest a brand of reasonably priced brown mascara? I once bought some at a department store years ago, but it was very expensive. Seems all I can find is black, very black, brown/black, etc. Some months ago I found brown at a discount store and bought the three that were there. I am on the last one, and they no longer have it. That particular brand was Cover Girl. Thanks!;
What is it you think is reasonable price? - Your best bet is to go in the stores SM

If you want Cover Girl again, that same color, go on their website and see what colors are available. You may even order it on line several pieces at a time if you find something you really like.

[ In Reply To ..]what I paid at the department store, which was around $16.00. I checked our Wal-Mart and nothing but black in all brands. I looked in pharmacies and grocery stores in the cosmetics and nothing ever but black in this area.
$16 for a mascara is cheap. You aren't likely to find brown sm - IMO

[ In Reply To ..]I find have the largest selection of makeup, all the brands--Revlon, L'Oreal, Almay, Maybelline, Cover Girl, etc. I use L'Oreal Telescopic because I like the type of brush and the consistency (not too thick). I've seen it in brown also, but I used the blackest of black called Carbon Black. The price is in the $9-$11 range. Also look in the coupon flyers/internet for money off coupons and check newspaper inserts/internet for sales. I always buy with a coupon and a sale. The big problem I have is finding the right color eyebrow pencil somewhere between dark brown and black because my eyebrows have worn off from the arch and the temple, so essentially left with half an eyebrow.

I have brown eyelashes, but I use clear mascara. It accentuates my natural color and makes them look longer. The added benefit is that it never smears--not that's noticeable, anyway, if I rub my eyes or they tear up from my allergies.
Revlon makes one at the usual Revlon good price. I get mine at Walmart. I don't use makeup much, but it was definitely the cheapest one (if not the only one!) on the shelf. It was hard to find---it was on the bottom shelf.

[ In Reply To ..]I used black mascara for many years, and with my coloring, which is fair, and with my hair color (light/medium brown) the black looked just too black for me. Also, I like to use the mascara on my brows as well. I tried the pencils for my brows, but I like the brush better. I just can't understand why brown is never available where I live. I even have my SIL looking for me. She can't find it either!
I do not understand why you still say you cannot - find it.

Sephora has several in brown. They also carry Anastasia brow products, which come in several different shades of brown and clear gel, as well as brow pencil and powder. You can see what they have online.

I was the victim of identity theft twice, and I guess because of that I hesitate to do much on line with my credit card. However, I think with Amazon I would be safe. Thanks, "Old."

As a suggestion, buy only items sold by Amazon itself, not by other sellers. That way you don't risk getting old, expired, or counterfeit products. It does not happen often, but when it does, it is disappointing. With A itself, you won't have to argue if you get a defective product. They will even send a return shipping label.
A lot of the mascaras were add-on items. For those, you just need to buy $25 in the order, I think, and it could be all add-on items. It is worth it.

Google Walmart, search for brown mascara and start looking. I came with this one in 2 minutes. Shipping is under $5.00 for any Walmart order no matter how many products you buy.
Also, if you want to stay local, try calling some of the local beauty supply houses. They often have mascara in all types of colors that you do not find in stores.

Brown versus black - Not Fooled
[ In Reply To ..]Great Lash by Maybelline comes in brown. It's under 5 bucks at Wal-Mart or any place for that matter. It's a pink tube with a lime green top. A lot of models use and like it. I like and use the regular Great Lash by Maybelline. Do you know black can be worn by everybody? You don't have to have black or brown hair to wear black.
