What I am wondering, amid all of the Brown flack, ISIS threats, why is no one talking about ebola?

the Fox newsers can't figure out how blame O for or expect him to fix, unlike the AIDS epidemic, which we can at least partially blame on RR.
Well yes, however, I am having difficulty understanding why more people aren't concerned. - Busybusy

It is a very real threat with the WHO and CDC now saying they can't get a handle on it and airlines flying in and out of epidemic sites. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but this scares, quite a lot.
I suppose I - could be wrong...

but I think your chances of catching and/or dying from ebola are probably pretty slim, unless you are doing something directly exposing you to a sick person. Personally I am more worried about a major flu pandemic.
I just think the news media, mainstream and otherwise makes everything seem like a crisis if you listen long enough. This past couple of months has been everyone yelping about ebola, took a short break for Ferguson, now ebola is back. Next week will be something new.
This was talked about here, but the right was criticized. - SM

Because people voiced opinions similar to yours, they were ridiculed for being anti-immigrant, racist, anti-gay, etc. Be careful what you write because the rabid left will come after you with their hate-filled propaganda. Sadly, they have to politicize everything.
Just FYI - I'm a

radical leftie, and the endless ebola blather I'm referring to is on NPR. This week is ebola, Ferguson, Ukraine, Syria/ISIS and every now and then some stupid review of a movie, band or book I will never see/hear/read.
On the bright side, I did hear that the exquisite Kate Bush (one of my faves from the "80s) was doing her first live concerts in 30 years; the bad news is that I would have to fly to London to see her (assuming I could get a $3000 ticket), and I hate the idea of flying anywhere.
My post was a response to Busybusy. - Is that you?

The floods, droughts, fires, ecological problems with wildlife/insects, hurricanes and tornadoes have a lot more affect on me than the ebola virus.
My most immediate fear is that my next rent - check is gonna bounce....

... either that, or else the fact that I've had no medical insurance for a year is finally gonna catch up with me.

Amid Clinton Controversies, Democrats Yearn For An AlternativeMar 05, 2015The full article is at the link, but one paragraph that stood out to me:
“The problem is, there’s nobody out there who’s not Clinton who’s the equivalent of Barack Obama,” said Larry Drake, chairman of the Portsmouth Democrats in New Hampshire. “He was a fresh face . . . and he gave great speeches and he turned out to be electable.”

Communication And Ebola Patient In DallasOct 01, 2014Today's Ebola news shocker (not!!) is that information obtained from a diligent and thorough nurse failed to make into clinical decision making, and the patient was sent home with antibiotics for undiscovered Ebola. Properly handled, the patient would have gone into isolation at that time, and been treated with appropriate supportive measures, and not spent 2 additional days exposing others to the virus.
If many more Ebola cases occur as a result of this totally commonplace error on the p ...
