An Honest Person

Scared to death today. Went shopping and made some small purchases in a store and returned to my car. I drove to another store, but first checked to see how much money I had before I went in to buy. No wallet! I was frantic. All my cards, money, driver's license, etc. in wallet and the rest of my cash. I drove back to the other store and asked, but it was not there. I was to have dinner with my SIL at a restaurant. I picked her up, and she was so upset for me and offered to go back to where it was lost with me. She went in the different stores associated with that small strip mall, and the manager of one store, after getting my name, brought my wallet to me. Someone found it in the parking lot an hour earlier. I don't know when I felt such relief. Said a little prayer of thanks and enjoyed my dinner. Just had to share that bit of joy tonight!! ;

[ In Reply To ..]was in the very early stages of Alzheimer's, she started losing her wallet a lot, in parking lots, stores, etc. FOUR times an honest person turned the wallet back in with money and credit cards intact. Some wonderful people out there. I'll be forever grateful for them.

[ In Reply To ..]My SIL had tears in her eyes when we were driving to the restaurant and mentioned that maybe it was "Ray" who was looking down on me. Ray is my brother who died very suddenly 1 1/2 years ago. I told her I thought of him, too. My SIL and all of us miss him so much. My nephew just opened a pub and he has a picture of my brother, (his Dad) on the wall overlooking the bar. He named the pub Black Cap Brewery because the Black Cap Chickadee was my brother's favorite bird. The picture at the bar shows my brother with a Black Cap Chickadee eating out of his hand. It was taken when my brother was at the rifle range. The pub just opened, and it will be very emotional to see the tribute to Ray. I truly believe he was looking down on me yesterday when I was so upset.
