Some 9/10 Democrats believe Obama is honest and trustworthy.

Posted: Nov 1, 2012

If anyone here hasn't  voted yet--President Obama has presided over a slow but continually improving recovery and is the man he always said he was. Surely a president you can depend on is an enormously better choice than a wild card who has proven he cannot be?

;

I voted for him in 2008, but will NOT vote for Obama - in 2012.. Failed me, and found out he lied ! nm

I apologize for my post below saying your post had no substance. It was totally out of line.

I agree - boostraps

But I've come to the conclusion, especially after participating on this board, that the motivation for voting against Obama (rather than voting FOR Romney), has nothing to do with a proven continually improving recovery, obviously.

I can stay up all night posting legit main stream sources (versus right-wing blogs) proving how Romney lies in ads, stages events, gives answers depending on who is asking the question, has given different answers that change weekly, whose campaign has walked back many of his answers, and whose GOP platform differs with any of his answers on any given day, but it will be met with "that's not true, that's garbage, what sources?"

I guess people just want to believe what they want to believe for whatever reason and facts just don't matter.

See? The post above mine. No substance. - boostraps

that's the mindset of the Romney voter.

You just proved your own words. There is nothing of substance in this post - sm!

Not every post needs to be a long drawn out response. I have a lot to say on this board, but sometimes just a sentence covers it all.

I've also seen posts saying they'll vote for Obama with nothing else, but I don't see you saying those posts have no substance.

Here's the thing.

I voted for Obama. I will not vote for him again.

1. The economy. The economy is not getting better no matter how many people want to claim it is. It's getting worse. More unemployment, more people losing their houses. More people worse off today than they were 3 years ago.

2. Education. Tired of reading (and no not fear mongering, reading legit stories from local newspapers) of liberals/communist infiltrating the education system trying to use it against conservatives. Leave the kids alone. I've never heard half the stories until this current crowd got in.

3. I am a black women. I'm tired of being called a racist because I don't agree with the issues.

4. Tired of the nasty lies and ads and attacks on conservatives.

5. Tired of the overuse of the word fillibuster, especially when democrats fillibuster too.

6. Tired of the overuse of how republicans want to make him a 1 term president (yawwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnn), especially when a republican present wins and the democrats say their goal is to make him a 1 term president.

7. Sick of the elitists attitudes.

8. Spreading the wealth thing just doesn't cut it.

9. A president who lies to the the people just doesn't cut it.

10. A president who is a patholigical liar and continues to lie after he's been told that what he is saying is a lie just doesn't cut it.

11. A first lady spending millions of taxpayers money for her own private vacations doesn't cut it.

12. Holding Holly "weird" parties in the WH doesn't cut it.

13. Obamacare.

The list goes on and on.
You didn't make an informed vote then, and you will - repeat that mistake now. No growth at all?
[ In Reply To ..]
BTW, surely, with your attitudes, that he was black was the very poorest of reasons to vote for him?

Now, you're apparently joining those hold-your-nose-and-vote-for-Romney-because-he's-not-the-black-guy people? If you are still not satisfied in future, don't blame everyone else until you've first blamed yourself.
Correct, and all opinion, no fact, which - bootstraps

was the point I was trying to make in my first post, that people don't necessarily vote based on facts and I was responding to a post wondering why the race is so close considing the economy is improving.

The economy is going in the right direction, maybe slowly, but improving.

That is a fact.

Again, as I said in my first post, it's a waste of time to even try to cite things here because "they're not true." But Romney can change his position and outright lie over and over, proven by fact checkers and legit news agencies... and that's okay...

Everyone has a right to their opinion and belief system, and basing their vote on same. I am not critizing anyone for that. I respect anyone who votes, no matter who they vote for. But I don't understand the concept of denying fact.

I find it interesting that Obama flip flopped like nobody's business during his first campaign, had friends that were extremists, didn't want to produce his birth certificate right away, among other things, yet he was treated like a king by the media and the people who voted for him. If Romney is lying, flip-flopping, etc., it is absolutely NO DIFFERENT than what Obama did four years ago. I know for a fact too because I watched the primaries, then watched the debates/campaign after Obama was chosen and I paid attention to the republican primaries and McCain's campaigns because I really wanted to make an informed decision and Obama was HORRIBLE in the lying department, had absolutely no experience to even be president, and all the other reasons listed above.
Totally agree! - sm

Obama his flip-flopped just as much as Romney has and yet the left are ripping Romney a new butthole over it. Talk about having your head in the sand and being in denial.

Can Someone Tell Me WHY Democrats, Especially Reid And ObamaSep 29, 2013
are against delaying Obamacare for a year? Watching C-Span and the House has been voting on funding the government again. One part of this bill is the vote on DELAYING the healthcare law until 1/1/2015. What the heck is wrong with that? After all, Obama DELAYED certain aspects of the law until 2015.  Delaying the healthcare law does not repeal it. Delaying the healthcare law doesn't defund it. So, what's wrong with that? Obama and Reid will not negotiate. That's not how ...

DEMOCRATS TO OBAMA: KEEP YOUR DISTANCEJan 31, 2014
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Spooked by President Barack Obama's low approval ratings, some of his fellow Democrats in tough November election races have begun their campaigns by distancing themselves from the White House and asserting their independence from Obama's policies. Obama Faces Potential Rifts With Democrats In Mounting Immigration FightAug 17, 2014
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is facing potential rifts with members of his own party in tough re-election contests as he barrels toward a fall fight with Republicans over his ability to change immigration policies. If Obama takes the broadest action under consideration — removing the threat of deportation for millions of people in this country illegally — the short-term risks appear greatest for Senate Democrats in conservative-leaning states.
