20/20 on med student giving part-time girl abortion

Guy pre-med, met, went with dancer/stripper type although had long time gal might have wished to marry. The not love of his life got pregnant (dancer lady). She's excited, he's not at all. He is not even taking calls from her. She texts him with the ultrasound pic of already named baby with her at 7 weeks pregnancy. He sets up appointment with her to see his fertility doctor father for check and then the guy steals prescription pad, writes for Cytotec, gives to gal saying she has infection and needs antibiotic. She takes, miscarriages and now he is on house arrest, facing jail time for his causing the miscarriage. She feels betrayed, crying about the baby and what could have been and why did he not want as much as her. Very interesting story. Did others see and if so, how did you feel?;

He had not completed college. You have to finish college and be IN medical school before you can be called a medical student. Four years of college, then four more years of medical school.

As for "pre-med," every kid who is thinking about medical school gets off on calling himself a "pre-med." There is no association with a medical college, no special status. The vast majority of these students are never accepted by medical schools. Many of them never finish college.

as one on the show with questions being asked of his family about his future medical career being affected. I know the years it takes for medical, but like I said, took 20/20 at their word. Are you more disturbed about his saying he was pre-med as opposed to the prescription and abortion part?

The problem isn't his being identified as a pre-med student . . . it is the "med student" in the subject line.

He isn't either of those things, as it happens. He is the "office manager" at a branch of his father's weight loss business. He "studied in the areas of nutrition and exercise physiology," but does not appear to have received a degree. He is now, according to their website, "working on" a degree in sports medicine. That is NOT pre-med or medical school. It is just a college major like physical therapy or nutrition.

The phrasing "studied in the areas of" at 2 different universities and "is currently working on" is a round-about way to say that he didn't complete anything. With a father who could fund anything, anywhere, this kid couldn't finish a degree at either of 2 schools and is now "working on" a third, and the only job he can get is working for his father.

The real problem here is the unsecured prescription pads and/or prescribing at that office.

certainly have gotten the idea with what he was facing his life as a "doctor" was over. Nothing said about weight loss regarding his father, in fact played father up to be fertility physician who gave the son's girlfriend first prenatal visit as she had no insurance, etc. I frankly care less about his pre med or not, working in sports medicine or not, fronting the front desk for his father's business, not expert here, just a fascinating story on 20/20.

be tried on murder charges, as, in my opinion, abortion is murder of a child, but mostly because he did this TO the woman without her knowledge. She was not given the option. Throw the book at him!! Maybe he will be more careful about having sexual relations in the future without assuring himself of protection. His name is not GOD. He has no right to force his wants on another person without their knowledge.
