Has anyone had experience with this passage in their lives?

Has anyone had experience with the passage that goes something like this, "I will restore the years of the locust many times over." That is not the exact phrase, but I am not good with exact ones, just the gist of them. I have waited decades for that one and I have given up. ;

Try reading some spiritual books about bringing your attention to the present moment. Look at the good things in your life right now and be grateful for them. Really look at a something in nature or an animal and see if you can find God's presence there.

Please remember that God's timing is not our timing. God is rarely early, but he is never late. I have had restoration in areas where I never thought it would happen, but it did (and at the time I least expected it). Have faith. God bless you.

I honestly think it is hopeless. I mean I am 71 and my son is 42. He has been gone since 13 years of age. I didn't get invited to both of his weddings and he will never have his own children which hurts as well.

His father deliberately did this and I have waited for God to finally intervene. Doesn't seem to last though. I had a bad reaction to Remeron when they upped my dose for depression (Most of which is due to all of my losses in life especially him and his love which he gives freely to his stepmother). That change changed my mood, etc. and was a side effect. I tried to explain that to him, but he doesn't buy it. I think he is having side effects from his medications as well as he has road rage which he never had before.

It is not his wife who doesn't want to come around me. Actually his second wife. It is all strictly from brainwashing and I have waited for God to undo all of that.

Anyway, I always did try to see what I had left when I lost someone or something in my life and now I am down to 2nd cousins, 3rd, etc. and my son. That is all the family I have. I don't feel really like I belong to my cousins' families but they do invite me when they have family get togethers.

The hurt just never goes away and especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas it hurts more. I'd rather sleep through the holidays. Starts at Halloween and ends around New Year's Day. Every year for decades.

Honestly, I do try to make the best of it, but it is just no use. We are such strangers now.

He will not talk to me about anything and so I end up hurting. Seems no one cared how I felt when our divorce happened. It was just how it affected my ex and my son. God it was my marriage and my family. I agonized for months over the decision I had to make.

I got interested in this after hearing a radio show about fermented foods and the recipe seemed simple, cabbage, salt, let it sit out for 4 weeks or so and there you have it.
