We love poor people, the radical right says.

We don't want you to have healthcare.

We don't want you to be able to vote (because you people always vote Democrat)

We don't want you to make more money (not going to raise minimum wages)

We don't want your children to have food to eat or have quality education.

We just love poor people, and want you to stay in your place.

This is what will happen if any politician even attempts to reform any kind of entitlement. A view to things to come, only more violent.

They are doing everything to keep them poor. Give them just enough to get by and they'll be forever grateful. It's a ploy, and an obvious one. I'm surprised smart Democrats can't see beyond it. Well, maybe there is no such animal.

Paid much attention lately to how much liberals and their ill-conceived social programs have been helping the poor? Spend a little time in cities that have been dominated by liberal politics for decades, come back and tell us all about it.

Just because some people don't think YOUR particular solutions are effective CANNOT be translated into a lack of concern about social problems. This is exactly the sort of simplistic jump-to-conclusion thinking that politicians love to exploit.

This is what financial dependency has developed. Money - equals compassion.

I feel kind of the same way. I fall to pieces when I see animals hurting, but it does not affect me as much when I see people hurting. If I see a story about animal abuse, I cannot bear to look at it or read about it, but I have a safe curiosity if it is about a person being abused.
