If you're disgusted by politicians, or the "power class" - hang on half a second.
You can't blame grabbers for grabbing power. It's the most predictable of human traits.
The most fundamental premise of DEMOCRACY is that the electorate will hold ALL POLITICIANS, REGARDLESS OF PARTY, in check.
It's citizens who don't give a crap about TRUTH and instead let the PARTY TELL THEM WHAT TO THINK who are to blame for the political situation that we find ourselves in.

I was reminiscing about our home being hit by a tornado many years ago. My niece was also there but is 10 years younger. The things she remembers are not entirely true--she was much younger and her memory filter saw it as a different experience. It is true to her, though, and I would not say she is lying. It is just an error in memory.
You have to place some sort of a value on the lie and then see how in fits with your personal acceptance of the morality/character of the person expressing the lie. I find that relatively easy to do, though, so far.
