Why is our president sending

100 US troops to Uganda? I know the reason he gave but really....we need to send more of our troops into other areas of the country? Aren't we occupying too many countries as it is now? I just don't get this.

1) Finish up what Bill Clinton did in the 90's, as he was labeled our first "african president" (responsible for the massacre of millions of people).

2) Maybe there are George Soros' intere$t$ over there(that scumbag has his dirty hands in everything)

3) Oil, minerals, google Lake Albert (Greed)

laughably and finally

4) To Prove to the World he truly is deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize (what a joke)

Of course, all under the guise of humanitarianism, but obama could give a fat rat's a$$ about anyone else but himself.

President Obama has been very successful in preventing attacks, unlike his predecessor, and has been reducing the overall number of troops in harm's way. I certainly trust his judgement much more than previous administration and we are seeing positive results on many levels.

From the Uganda statement: For more than two decades, the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) has murdered, raped, and kidnapped tens of thousands of men, women, and children in central Africa. The LRA continues to commit atrocities across the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Sudan that have a disproportionate impact on regional security. Since 2008, the United States has supported regional military efforts to pursue the LRA and protect local communities. Even with some limited U.S. assistance, however, regional military efforts have thus far been unsuccessful in removing LRA leader Joseph Kony or his top commanders from the battlefield. In the Lord's Resistance Army Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act of 2009, Public Law 111 172, enacted May 24, 2010, the Congress also expressed support for increased, comprehensive U.S. efforts to help mitigate and eliminate the threat posed by the LRA to civilians and regional stability.

In furtherance of the Congress's stated policy, I have authorized a small number of combat equipped U.S. forces to deploy to central Africa to provide assistance to regional forces that are working toward the removal of Joseph Kony from the battlefield. I believe that deploying these U.S. Armed Forces furthers U.S. national security interests and foreign policy and will be a significant contribution toward counter LRA efforts in central Africa.

Can someone please explain to me why we are sending 3K troops to West Africa to help with ebola? I guess it is the humintarian thing to do but as deadly as this is and the fact that those 3K will be returning to the states and could potentially bring this back with them.....call me crazy but I think this is just stupid stupid stupid. ...
