Do you really think that global warming means that it won't snow anymore? You really need some serious education.

Oh right...guess it just means it will melt faster...right? I'm so glad you were able to enlighten me on this.

Thanks for the indoctrination...oops...I mean education.

Breaking News: Despite Global Warning, Snow Still Exists - Frosty

[ In Reply To ..]
"Matt Drudge is very excited about the weather forecast for Washington, D.C. It seems that a winter snow watch has been issued for Wednesday, which just happens to be the day former Vice President Al Gore is scheduled to testify before a Senate committee about global warming.

This kind of thing makes people who don't believe the science behind the warming theory pretty happy; they've even coined a term for it, the "Gore Effect." Drudge quotes one unnamed "Republican lawmaker" as saying, "I can't imagine the Democrats would want to showcase Mr. Gore and his new findings on global warming as a winter storm rages outside."

And to think some people are worried about the state of science education in this country.

For the record, as people like Drudge should know, local weather and global climate are not the same things. And besides, no one's predicting the end of snow as we know it anytime soon.

Plus, focusing on a single anecdotal data point in this way is a really, really bad way to do science, or to make any sort of generalized observation at all. If you're playing Russian Roulette and on your first turn you happen not to die, this does not mean putting a loaded gun to your head and squeezing the trigger is a good idea. If you're visiting Seattle for a week and on your first day there it happens to be sunny, you should not throw out your raincoat and umbrella. If you're the Steinbrenner family and for the first time in ten seasons Joe Torre fails to lead the Yankees to the AL East title, you should not drive Torre away. (Admittedly, the Steinbrenners will almost certainly never grasp this concept.)"

Does the phrase "Climategate" ring a bell? - AzRain

[ In Reply To ..]
The jig is up, honey. Global warming, or whatever they're calling it currently, is a massive wealth distribution fraud. Turn off Olbermann and get a clue.
Baloney! Because of Climategate.... - AzRain
[ In Reply To ..]
we now know they've been massaging the data for years in favor of their theories. Hardly scientific.
No, we don't - NJ
[ In Reply To ..]
The data that was "massaged" came from the theft (stealing, illegal actions) of the emails and the willful misinterpretation of the information they contained by those who stold them.

Climategate is a good word for it. It is about theft just like Watergate.

NJ
but, NJ, if the "stolen" emails supported your argument, - they would not be stolen, would they?
[ In Reply To ..]
You have become SO predictable. You cannot argue fairly because your love for one side and hate for the other come through so clearly, so much so that you have blinded yourself to ANY truth.
Most people believe the emails were put on the web by an insider who worked with Phil Jones. - AzRain

I know it's hard to believe....a liberal with a conscience....but it does happen from time to time. I think they're called whistleblowers, and the liberals usually love people like that when they come out against things you don't like, like tobacco or guns. But in this case, you guys are screaming it was theft. Too funny!
Liberal crimes - NJ
[ In Reply To ..]
Are you suggesting that if it was a liberal it's not theft? Strange o.O There are criminals and bigots and just plain idiots in every facet of life. To think otherwise is another example of how dumbed-down America has become.

How about addressing what's actually in the emails and what's actually happening to the planet?

We Have So Much Snow!!!Feb 02, 2011
I'm in SE Wisconsin, had a blizzard yesterday/last night and there is so much drifting snow there's nowhere to go with it... and it's still blowing like crazy outside.  You know that commercial of the husband who goes out to snowblow and he ends up somewhere away from home because he just keeps going and going.  Well, I just had to laugh at my husband because that's what he just reminded me of.  He did our property.  Then when I went outside I saw him up t ...

The Diary of a Snow Shoveler December 86:00 PM. It started to snow. The first snow of the season and the wife and I took our cocktails and sat for hours by the window watching the huge soft flakes drift down from heaven. It looked like a Grandma Moses Print. So romantic we felt like newlyweds again. I love snow! December 9We woke to a beautiful blanket of crystal white snow covering every inch of the landscape. What a fantastic sight! Can there be a more lovely place in the Whole World? Moving ...

Well, our snow just started here in Michigan.  Hope you all are well in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  I think our area is supposed to get 7-11 inches.  That doesn't bother me as much as the temps coming.  Good luck to all.  Stay warm and safe. ...

First SnowDec 06, 2010
We are having our first plowable snow storm of the year in my section of Maine (6-12 inches).  It is really gorgeous.  I know I will not be singing this same song in a few months.  It just really puts you in the holiday spirit.  I am not into winter sports so it makes for a long winter, but always enjoy the snow in the month of December.  I prefer to enjoy it from the inside looking out with a wood stove fire going -  LOL. ...

Snow StormFeb 01, 2011
I hope everyone stays safe in the storm that is coming or already has hit some.  I'm in Mid Michigan and we are supposed to get about a foot tonight and tomorrow.  I'm figuring a snow day for my son tomorrow.  Glad I work at home.  Hubby has to go to work tomorrow, maybe. Anyway, I hope everybody stays safe and warm.    ...

Well, The Snow Totals Are Out For PAFeb 11, 2010
I'm so lucky. Our county got the highest, 24-27" depending on where you live. I live in the 27" zone.  So in 2 weeks, we have had 34" of snow. Had to laugh at DH. He put the snowblower in the storage shed after the snow last week instead of leaving it in the garage. It was a bit of a hassle to get it back out.  He's 6' tall and the snow was up to his knees.  His boots weren't [up to his knees].  Poor guy. I made a good hot luch for him, though.  ...

Do You Freak Out Hearing About SnowJan 11, 2011
Why people hear about snow and freak out and run to the grocery store? I went to get milk and a few other things that I didn't get the other day and it was crazy. I figure as long as I have milk and food, dog and cat food and cat litter we are ok. But I tell you people hear snow and they flock to the store big time makes me laugh actually I wouldn't have gone out except that I needed milk and hamburger. ...

First Light Snow Of The Year - That's StickingNov 25, 2012
I like the way the grayish sky contrasts with the white of the snow, and the pine trees.  Just read a strange poem by Emily Dickinson about a pine tree, I'm sharing the whole thing here.  Love the line, "a sea with a stem."  I had to stop and look out the window at a pine, when I read this line.  Yep, that's right - a sea with a stem. By my Window have I for SceneryJust a sea—with a Stem—If the Bird and the Farmer—deem it a “Pine”&mdas ...

An Article From The Washington PostDec 24, 2009
This article was written by Secretary of Commerce in the Clinton administration and Chairman of Algore's campaign. The announcement by Alabama Rep. Parker Griffith that he is switching to the Republican Party is just the latest warning sign that the Democratic Party -- my lifelong political home -- has a critical decision to make: Either we plot a more moderate, centrist course or risk electoral disaster not just in the upcoming midterms but in many elections to come. But now they face a ...
