I've watched his show for a long time and have never gotten the feeling that he hates women, quite the contrary.

"Nothing he says is the truth" and "he's another one who hates women" because when they have no coherent argument, they tend to lump people into categories, label them, and dismiss anything they say.

For instance, they label him a liberal, but Bill Maher is actually NOT a liberal; he is a libertarian. He is also actually friends with Ann Coulter, and I think anybody that could spend 1 hour in a room with that partisan hack must be one tolerant person.

Anyone can say they are anything. Their words, actions and how they vote tell the truth. He is no libertarian. Libertarians are much different than liberal/communists, or any other party. None of his actions or words words put him even close to libertarian.

It doesn't matter who he's friends with. That does not make him a libertarian. After all remember...Obama hung around Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright.

BTW I and many of us would rather spend an hour with Ann Coulter than Pig Maher. The conversation is much more intelligent.

I never said you were a Christian either. I just said your post "actually reminds me of all those people who call themselves Christians." Not sure what part of the statement "all those people" that you thought was referring personally to you.

I usually find myself on the other side of "go to the faith board" requests on the political board, so if you are actually a conservative trying to separate religion from politics, then I am thoroughly convinced you're not a Christian. :)

If you're not one of "all those people who call themselves Christians," no need to take it personal. It clearly wasn't personal from my perspective or intent. The post I responded to said that Bill Maher was not a libertarian just because he calls himself one, and that just got me to thinking.

Yes, I know that to be a fact, which is why I probably made that observation in the first place. I know what being a Christian is supposed to mean versus some of the things I'm seeing lately intertwined with politics, so I made the observation...... in kind of the way you won't generally hear a Democrat proclaiming that a Republican is a RINO.

What's really a "hoot" is that no one actually suggested that being friends with Ann Coulter gave Bill Maher a pass for ??? anything, but you have fun arguing that with... absolutely no one. So now about Bill Maher being a woman hater... It turns out that Fox News was on a campaign to take some of the heat off Rush Limbaugh and some of the stupid stuff being said by the far right of the GOP. The bald headed, in my opinion idiot, psychiatrist on Fox News, Keith Ablow, said Bill Maher hated women (and some other made up, as usual, stuff) because he was making fun of the intelligence of Sarah Palin. It seems Bill Maher insulted Palin's intelligence along with that of Michelle Bachman (and the silly one who stated she was a witch on Bill's show at one point). So apparently Fox News tried to equate this with Rush Limbaugh and what he said about Sanda Fluke and women who take birth control and "Feminazis" (not my word, Rush's word). So all this happened while Rush and some of the far right wing ideas about contraception were getting talked about heavily in the press. I can find nowhere else suggesting that Bill Maher hates women. Fox just wanted a goat on the left that equaled the tirade of Rush Limbaugh and the far right crazy politicians' ideas. LOL.

So basically we never heard about Bill Maher being a woman hater because we don't watch the Fox News entertainment shows.

Now I guess I'm a woman hater also, because I too think Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman are pretty stupid. Oh sure, blame me for hating women when I just have this thing against stupid people (regardless of gender).
