The Truth? Would You Even Recognize It?

IMO, a large number of right wingers show their true colors by not being able to post a single line of opinion without calling people who do not agree with them some kind of name. It only takes a quick look on this board to find names being thrown around like Communists/Commies or Liberals/Libs like they are dirty words. I guess they just don't understand the concept that name calling says more about them than it does about their adversary. They say they know the "truth," but they don't seem to grasp the real concept of the word. They thank their fellow name callers for telling the "truth" when they're merely slapping a label on their adversary and discounting anything they say.
What would it hurt to actually listen? You say you want the truth? Allow me to enlighten you with a point of fact. Your Republican party is being hijacked by a group of extreme right wingers who are riding your centrist right wing leaders' coattails and sucking the life out of what is left of the sensible faction of the GOP. They're letting them do it. Is it too late for the centrists in the party to wise up? Or is the party going to become overrun by Libertarians/Libs.
Get your popcorn ready. This should be an interesting show. So many years until the next presidential election, and they are already going at each other like a bunch of hungry wolves fighting over a piece of raw meat. Who will win the battle for the pound of flesh, and what will remain of the GOP when the infighting is complete?
Who knows? Better question: Who cares? Who can be worried about the fortunes of the American people when they have their political futures to orchestrate? The right wingers don't seem to care at all what they are doing to our country with their political posturing and party meltdown. Will they be Republicans or Libertarians?
Regardless, it's quite convenient and so very fortunate that they like the term Libs since they just might be having it tossed in their faces more often in the future just as casually as they toss it in ours.

This country has been on a spiral downhill for many years, at the wheel of both parties. Plain and simple, greed has run this country for many years and not what is best for the people. There are so many things wrong with our government it would take forever to put it into words.
What is not good for the country is rich against middle class/poor. You cannot keep letting corporations get breaks to send work overseas, have CEOs make ridiculous salaries and lowering wages. You cannot keep rewarding lazy people so they stay lazy. There are good companies and wealthy people out there, and there are people who are working their butts off and still can't make it. We all know companies are in business to make money, just like employees work in order to feed their families. Somewhere along the way, the rich decided to get richer at the workers expense, and the lazy figured out that they don't have to work in order to provide for their families.
How to fix this, I don't have a clue, but this is a big problem in this country.

The majority will finally come to realize they're being used, and they'll toss them off either sooner or later. The only question that remains is how much damage will be done in the meantime.
