The new Washington Post-ABC News Poll. 10 Numbers that Matter.

Posted: Oct 15, 2012

"Eighty-four percent of people agree on almost nothing these days.  But they do seem to agree that the economy stinks." Thought I'd excerpt a positive note this time. We are one on this. :)

From another analysis, "...the exceptional passion of Obama-hatred among - conservative “base” voters does not" SM

[ In Reply To ..]
From The Washington Monthly, "Enthusiasm Gap,"

"It’s beginning to become apparent that the exceptional passion of Obama-hatred among conservative “base” voters does not translate into some sort of thumb-on-the-scales on November 6. You only get one vote. And if your passion is part of a political message that repels swing voters and helps mobilize the other party’s base, then it may be worth even less than nothing."

This caught my eye because these...exceptionally passionate ones can be counted on to vote. Have to admit the thought that they might erase a least a little of their own impact is a hopeful one.

New Poll NumbersAug 08, 2012
despite pessimism about the future, American voters do not appear to be holding it against Democratic President Obama.  A Reuters monthly poll, conducted after Romney returned from his overseas disaster and following release of July jobs numbers, shows growth in President Obama’s lead among registered likely voters.  The democratic-style “otherness” argument, that Romney Hood is out of touch with those voters residing outside the 0.1% privileged circles, seems to be t ...

4 Poll Numbers That Should Unnerve Hillary ClintonJul 27, 2015
Enlightening article. Here's an excerpt: "But, if Clinton's sinking poll numbers were to be expected as she re-entered the arena, the pace of their drop and the depths to which they have fallen are surprising. Looking at the national numbers, Clinton's favorable numbers have come close to collapsing over the past eight months or so; her unfavorable numbers in Iowa and New Hampshire are, without exaggeration, near Trump-ian levels -- and that's a very bad thing considering th ...

An Article From The Washington PostDec 24, 2009
This article was written by Secretary of Commerce in the Clinton administration and Chairman of Algore's campaign. The announcement by Alabama Rep. Parker Griffith that he is switching to the Republican Party is just the latest warning sign that the Democratic Party -- my lifelong political home -- has a critical decision to make: Either we plot a more moderate, centrist course or risk electoral disaster not just in the upcoming midterms but in many elections to come. But now they face a ...

He bent down to listen to 11-year-old Sasha. “Behind you,” she mouthed. The president nodded and promptly turn ...

The Washington Post's "Pinocchio Test": Marc Rubio Earned 4 For His Iraq AnswerMay 19, 2015
The Washington Post delivers a "Pinocchio Test" every time a candidate says something that is not based on fact that's interesting to follow.  The reason it is a rating scale is because they check what they said for fact and it's a ranged scale, from 1 to 4, based on everything from possible misinterpretations and selective truth-telling to outright falsehoods. Here's the scale: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/about-the-fact-checker/ Apparently, Marc Rubio ...

CNN Poll Shamefully Skewed. De-skew The Poll And It'sSep 11, 2012
The campaign to mislead the public, discourage conservative voters, etc. is underway, full bore. Do NOT believe ANY polls.  Think for yourself - and VOTE, regardless of any polls that might suggest that Obama has this sewn up.  The DNC had a disastrous convention and they're also trying to make that look like the best thing since conventions began. (You can tell from the desperation of his campaign strategy that HE knows he doesn't have it sewn up.) ...
