Perhaps the US should recognize "the Caliphate"

Remember, we kept hearing that we couldn't declare war on Al-Qaida because it wasn't a state, but a discontiguous entity without territory. Now, the "Caliphate" has declared itself a state and exercises governance over a significant territory. They have police, healthcare, and even social services for the poor. They hold governmental council meetings, the whole 9 yards.
So - they want a state, let's flip it on them. Let's recognize this vile state, immediately declare war on it and then blast them right back into the 6th century where they belong.
