My impression on Ryan on foreign policy: Like a kid who memorized the answers for the test, repeated them, but did not understand a word he said. I guess he was slightly more credible than Palin, but hardly 1 heart-beat from the president material.

I admit--I didn't like Biden's frequent smile. In fact, I said out loud to the TV, "Quit the inappropriate smiling, Joe!" However, when it comes to WHAT each of them said, I'm still with Biden, hands down.
Paul Ryan didn't even pretend to answer the question late in the debate about whether they were ever embarrassed by the tone of the election. Joe Biden did answer that question. Paul Ryan just went off on his memorized talking points which were completely off topic. I haven't heard this mentioned yet in any of the post-debate "analysis." Am I the only one who noticed that?
