Setting up a camp next to the river they were supposedly there to protect - when the weather turned cold (which they blamed on North Dakota controlling the weather just to get them to leave) they moved to the local casino and into Mandan to take up residence, all the while being supported by who???? A propane truck delivered propane to the site south of Manday, ND and when asked who was paying for it, he said they didn't know - but the bill was being paid. Supplies came to the camp by the semi load - food, bedding, sleeping bags, propane bottles, winter clothes, tents, etc. One group was lamenting the fact that no one had sent tampons and that they were having to purchase them....These "environmentalists" left behind a toxic mess of human waste, tents, half-built wooden structures, piles of new winter clothes and boots, abandoned cars, canned and other nonperishable food, etc. The tribal leader who initially welcomed environmentalists to his cause has a gas station/convenience store nearby and is now making plans to build a new house (mansion?) on this same river. Do you think he made money on the protest? Money contributed to Gofundme pages set up for the protestors is nowhere to be found as the state has to figure out how to pay for the cleanup. The snow is melting now which means alot of the toxic waste is now soaking into the ground.....so much for caring for the environment.
