They were over budget last year as well. It's just two months sooner this time, which isn't so bad considering they have 11 more full-time protectees. The amounts they're talking about have nothing to do with Trump traveling, they have to do with the number of family members he has and the number of properties. Properties are protected whether he's there or not. The additional security stays with him at all times, regardless of where he is. He has no control, it's the LAW that says Secret Service protects his properties and family. So it's pretty small-minded to believe he has the choice of paying for it. I can't for the life me make sense of people crawling out of the woodwork to complain about the POTUS when they obviously have zero clues how the political world works and have paid no attention for the past 15 years.
