Being uninsured is cheaper for everyone - not just the young

But it's not better and they are not invincible. It will take them a while but I think they will come around.

I have considered going uninsured because of cost, the fines are minuscule. But it would not be a choice, it would be simply due to being completely broke, thanks to my salary being halved by my lovely MTSO. Luckily my husband got a job with insurance at a reasonable rate, but it is still tough because his salary is terrible too.

When I see "Freedom" anything in a web page and a quote in the article from "Daily Caller" chances are, to me, it is telling conservatives what to think and/or what they want to hear. I guess it would be the same for conservatives seeing Huffpo or Daily Kos. We have our sources we trust and our sources we know we can't trust.

But what makes this scary - and nonpartison

is that for it to work, the young must participate. They don't want to do so. I don't blame them. This has been forced on us and it's going to increase the debt enormously. Some of the best economists of our time (non- and/or bipartisan) are all sending out warnings. BO refuses to listen and this refusal will hurt ALL of us ultimately.

You are lucky to have a husband with insurance. I am single and have had my pay cut by 40%. I don't know anyone who is not struggling right now.

I've paid auto insurance for 35 years and never collected. It would be a lot cheaper for me if I hadn't. I would be tens of thousands of dollars richer if I wasn't paying for everyone else's claims.

On the other hand, I might need it tomorrow.

Cannot get decent and cheap coverage with the ACA. Is that because you must take the garbage the MTSO gives you or are you eligible for ACA and just live in one of those states where they are not expanding Medicaid?

around 30% of enrollment is young people under age 35 which is on the low side of acceptable. Currently, only 2% of all residents of Ma are uninsured.
