Obamacare's Ongoing Dysfunction

"The law's first year should be seen for the administrative failure that it is."
Really? The bill was signed into "law" on March 23, 2010, by the POTUS, and some provisions of that law became effective immediately and some have been phased in over subsequent years.
This article does not cover the law's first year but rather its last 8 months (which is not even an actual entire year). Hard to take anything in this article seriously when the author seems not to actually understand the concept of time.
My take is completely different than yours. - sm

To me, this article is not about the history of the bill being signed into law in 2010 with subsequent provisions to follow, but rather a synopsis of what has transpired over the last eight months, which he clearly states in the first paragraph.
In simple words, I can take this article seriously because it is a truthful representation of how the administration has tried and hoped to fool the American people on many, many levels with regard to Obamacare.
Of Course It Is - Seriously

Well, I didn't actually say the article was "about the history of the bill being signed into law in 2010," and I also didn't write the byline for the article which stated: "The law's first year should be seen for the administrative failure that it is." I merely pointed out that the author has no concept of time and that it was hard to take him serious because of this fact. If he was going to discuss the failure of the law's first year, maybe he should have actually discussed the law's actual first year.......... or used a different byline. If he doesn't understand the concept of time, which is a simple concept, then maybe he's confused about the broader concepts contained in the actual bill which is not actually in its first year.
It's just my opinion, but I believe the better representation from a Republican source that illustrates "fooling the American people on many, many levels with regard to Obamacare" would be the handiwork found under this link.
Maybe you should take your dispute up with the author - of the article.

Dispute? - Seriously
[ In Reply To ..]
What dispute? It's just my opinion, just like his article is his opinion. He's entitled to his opinion, and I'm entitled to mine.
Fairly simple concept.
Yes, a dispute, seriously. - sm

You disputed the author in the first, second and third sentences of your first paragraph. Re-read it. It's there. If you have a disagreement with him, I suggest you take it up with him.
I Actually Like Your Idea...... - Seriously
[ In Reply To ..]
Although I really don't need to read it again, I actually quoted the author and disagreed with him, which is actually pretty standard stuff that goes on daily on political chat boards across the world. But I must say this is an intriguing idea you've got here about taking up disagreements directly.
The next time I see somebody on here in disagreement with something President Obama did or said or wrote, I'll just rattle off with (cut/paste):
"If you have a disagreement with him, I suggest you take it up with him."
Your take is different because you can - seriously reason through the problems...Obama

ideolagues cannot think past the last talking point from their communist leader.
Obamacare is a TOTAL failure.
Words - Matter
[ In Reply To ..]
When you use terms like "communist" and "total failure" you're straying from the Republican script on the ACA. If you keep throwing out words like that, how will we convince people to like the Republican health care plan? (see link)
Shhhhh! The dirty little secret is that Republicans have a health care plan, and it's an awfully lot like Obamacare. That means they must be communists???!
The Republicans only care about the insurance - sm

industry and don't want to see them lose profits, so their CEOs can continue to earn millions of dollars a year, while they charge exorbitant rates.
And as far as the National Review, they are a well known REPUBLICAN publication which is as biased against this President as the Congressional Republicans are. That's why I put very little stock in such a publication.
If it was an independent-thinking publication, one approached objectively, then it might mean something.

Need Opinions On An Ongoing Debate Between DH And MeSep 21, 2011My DH and I have been having an ongoing argument about family obligations on the part of grown children. We are so invested in our points of view that we sometimes get almost hostile and have to stop the conversation.

How Does The FBI Investigate An Ongoing SituationMar 22, 2017I understand how the FBI investigated Clinton's use of email. That was in the past by the time they got involved and there were records, people, and documentation they could look into.
How does the FBI investigate an ongoing situation, like the Trump campaign's involvement with Russia, without surveillance? If they're not monitoring communications, how could they say there is no evidence of collusion?
If the FBI is involved (as we know they are) then Obama's Justice D ...
Twitches In Face, Ongoing For Some TimeMar 05, 2013I have been to physicians, neurologists, and the like for the twitches in my face. They have been on 1 side and the other. Obamacare Meltdown Has Arrived. Tennessee Is Ground Zero For Obamacare'sOct 07, 2016last month the state insurance commissioner, Julie Mix McPeak, approved premium increases of up to 62% in a bid to save the exchange set up under the Affordable Care Act. “I would characterize the exchange market in Tennessee as very near collapse,” she said.

Obamacare Is Failing From Behind... His Goals For ObamacareJul 20, 20161) Have it collapse so that single payer can be implemented amidst the ensuing chaos.
2) Have that happen on somebody else’s watch.
Obamacare was designed to fail so the Democrats could “reform” it with complete government provided socialized medicine. That is the entire purpose for it. Obamacare is designed to collapse so they can backfill the vacuum with government run socialized medicine.
