OBAMA-O'REILLY INTERVIEW

Posted: Feb 2, 2014

After watching that interview, I can only say Bill O'Reilly and FOX must be feeling pretty darn good right about now. To think that they hold such sway over America and her people. That's quite the accomplishment!

At the same time, it's an elitist insult to Americans. To think that we can't make up our own minds and need FOX news to do it for us. That disgusts me.

Also, after everything that has been presented to him for many, many months, the president still cannot admit when he has been wrong, when his administration has been wrong or when there has been any type of mistake made. I find this both sad and embarrassing.

I guess I was hoping for some honesty and fessing up of sorts.

;

Were we watching the same interview? Why would you (sm) - Abby

think that Fox thinks we can't make up our own minds and need them to do it for us? What on earth are you talking about? I didn't get that at all. What I did get was Obama slithering around as usual. Benghazi and IRS - "there were numerous hearings." Uh, yeah, but people didn't answer the questions at those hearings, Barry. Then the Susan Rice part. Bill tried to get his point across, but I don't know that he did. I think he was doing his darndest not to be rude. Ugh. When it was over, my husband said, "He's quite the dancer, isn't he." I really didn't expect any different from him. He will never own up to anything. Never. He even still tried to blame Fox twice. He needs to give that one a rest. I'll be curious to see what else was asked - will be aired on The Factor tomorrow night. I don't believe it will be anything earth shattering, though, and certainly no admissions of wrongdoings from The Great One.

I was being facetious. - NPC

The president was blaming FOX news for what we Americans think about this or that. In other words, Obama is not giving any credit to us. He doesn't think we can form opinions without FOX. I wonder if he thinks the same about the MSNBC devotees.

Body language is everything in an interview, it says far more than words.

The POTUS was calm sat back in his chair, relaxed and confident as Billo leaned forward looking stiff and awkward.

The body language of Billo was that of a man obligating a perfunctory preplanned inquisition on manufactured scandals, it was of a man who asked questions then talked over the answers, ignoring the answers he asked for as he tried to steer the POTUS back into his own planned narrative.

Billo lost control very early as he was disarmed by a calm, smiling, concise and well versed guest who could see through the charade that was scripted against him.

Billo tried the gamut of manufacture talking points and when the POTUS calmly laid out the facts, Billo interrupted to appease the non thinking preprogrammed Fox watching base.

You could almost imagine the Fox viewership all aghast at having to hear the truth and rooting for Billo to add the killer comment that ending up just seeing Billo trying to drown out the answers he asked for and redirecting towards the manufactured outrage at the non issues the permanent victim class that makes up Fox viewers have been spoon fed.

This was a non match as Billo jabbed dishonesties and had then repelled by truth, something Billo normally never allows, as if confronted by more lowly liberals, he just shouts them down repeats his assertions, calls them a derogatory invective and the viewers see that as a win, irrespective of what the combatant that was an invited guest had to say.

Billo was emasculated by a cool, calm, reflective and knowledgeable, president.

All of the scandals evaporated while Billo flapped his jaws, leaning ever more forward trying to effect a position of power.

But calmness, being quietly spoken, forthright in answers, smiling at the ease of knocking Billo off his stride and pointing out that Fox is a conspiracy theory channel had the POTUS come out well ahead.

If it was a boxing match, Billo’s rope man would have thrown in the towel straight after the announcer introduced the contestants.

But Fox sheeples can’t be convinced because just how Obama looks makes their blood boil

Under a REAL reporter, ALL THE SCANALS are brought under a spotlight, all the while Obama flapped his jaws, flustered through every lie, trying to effect a position of power.

But O'Reilly's calmness, being quietly spoken, forthright in his questions with ease in knocking Obama off his lies and pointing out that Obama has NEVER TOLD THE TRUTH ON ANY ISSUES OR HOW HIS ADMINISTRATION CONDUCTS ITSELF, had the POTUS suqirming like the worm he is. Many are wondering why he didn't move forward with questions that might shine a light on 2016 since that will be the election that will determine the next president. Nothing O'Reilly questioned him on will impact that election.

Again, in 2016 voters are going to be concerned about where the country is, their personal lives and futures, and where the country is going, not any previous event that occurred in any previous presidents' administration.

in this administration. Americans will remember. They will also remember the democrat shut down.

People are going to be concerned about where their lives are headed and what is in their future. They are going to know that the failing economy is happening because of the actions of the democrats and this administration.

I predict they will be voting on issues that are important to them and I think they will be informed enough to make the best decisions. I think they have learned not to listen to MSNBC.
Here's a link to the Senate Select Committee's report, aka - Benghazi resolved
[ In Reply To ..]
Maybe it's not resolved in the minds of those who continue to let Fox News influence what is plain fact (see link for official report).

Ted Cruz was responsible for the shutdown. The only ones who don't know this are those who believe the right-wing entertainment machine spin. And that's okay, but most voters understand the true nature of the shutdown and why it happened. It's really a simple story.

Not to mention all the primaries will hopefully be TP challenged and TP will win. Come time for the real Dem vs Rep elections, people who live in the real world will reject the TP right-wing extremism.

Regarding where the country is going and the Democrats and this administration, voters also easily grasp the concept of obstructionism and which party is responsible.

Yes, the economy will be a very important issue in the upcoming election, so why didn't Bill ask any questions in that regard?

I think the American people are more interested in making ends meet and getting a living wage to that means.

Seems like the folks at Fox and Obama haters are the only ones who want to concoct a conspiracy theory. But it's time to move on.

And let's not forget what Bush was doing on 9/11. He was in first grade, kickin' back, enjoying being the POTUS. I think that was like his 3rd or 4th trip that was either VP or First Lady material. On 09/11 his VP was in the war room.

[ In Reply To ..]
that. It's like a broken records that we try and correct and someone wants to keep breaking it. I don't know how many more times we have to keep repeating this. Just because people want it pushed under the rugs, especially with upcoming elections, does not mean it is resolved. It is not resolved. It is still open. It doesn't matter where it happened. Are you saying that the lives of Americans don't matter because they were not murdered here in our own country?

What you listed is not the only thing Americans are interested in. You do realize that Americans are capable of being interested in more than just one thing at a time. Jobs, healthcare, etc of course is important, but just as important to us is security for our citizens of our country in other countries. So if these men's lives didn't matter, does that mean that our brave fighting men and women's lives don't matter either. Knowing how our fellow Americans were murdered IS important to us, and being lied to is equally as important. It is NOT resolved yet and Americans ARE going to remember when they go to elect. Americans are not as stupid as the democrat hope (or think they are).

And can you please get off the "Obama hater" vomit that keeps getting regurgitated. How many times do we have to keep saying enough with that. It has no place in any civilized discussion. It is a juvenile knee jerk statement that does not belong in a conversation when adults are talking. It's as insulting as calling someone a racist when there is no cause and people should be ashamed of stooping to such childish antics.

As for any statements with Bush, enough with that too. This post is not about Bush. Nobody mentioned Bush, Benghazi has nothing to do with Bush. In case you haven't noticed, Bush has been out of office for 6 years now. He was not present when the Benghazi incident happened. He didn't call the shots, he didn't have anything to do with it. As a poster wrote:

You are disrupting the flow of dialogue when people have to veer off the subject matter the OP posted about to deal with the deflection of throwing the Bush name in somewhere where it does not belong. Again, this has nothing to do with Bush.

I found this report very interesting because of these points: - Truthhurts
[ In Reply To ..]

(The italic font is from the report itself.)

Based on the Committee's review, the State Department's INR disseminated no intelligence products related to the Benghazi attacks in the year following the attacks. Considering the attacks began on a State Department facility, involved the deaths of two State Department personnel, and were an important indication of escalating threats against U.S. facilities and personnel in the region, the Committee finds it unsettling that INR chose not to, or was unable to, disseminate any analysis related to the attacks or the implications of the attacks.

The conclusions: “ ….the process to create the talking points was not without problems, so we join our Republican colleagues in recommending-as we do in the report-that in responding to future requests for unclassified talking points from Congress, the IC should simply tell Congress which facts are unclassified and let Members of Congress provide additional context for the public. However, we sincerely hope that the public release of the emails on May 15, 2013, that describe the creation of the talking points, and the evidence ·presented in this report, will end the misinformed and unhelpful talking points controversy once and for all.”

So, the Democrats on the Committee have decided the CIA is at fault for the misinformation in Benghazi?  In that case, the failure of our Central Intelligence Agency to conduct Intelligence is extremely flawed  Do they need to invent another agency to decipher intelligence information coming from the CIA? This group is supposed to be the backbone of security of our citizens. This department also USED to be the most, or one of the topmost, reliable agencies on this planet. What happened?

This conclusion from the other side: "The failures of Benghazi can be summed up this way: the Americans serving in Libya were vulnerable; the State Department knew they were vulnerable; and no one in the Administration really did anything about it. The Intelligence Community does not collect intelligence about threats to our security in dangerous place so it can be ignored by senior decision-makers. Nor should a Regional Security Officer's repeated warnings go unheeded."

Do we now wait, like we used to, for the REAL reporting/truth on issues like this after the investigations are over? I think so. When an incident like this happens, don’t just jump on the talking points, go out there and report totally wrong information. Don’t point fingers and give unreliable information just because you want to blame someone. The Warren Report took ages to finish the investigation. Watergate investigations also took time.  Why is that? Could it be because they wanted the truth? Controversy is still going on  and there will always be controversy over incidents like this but you also cannot plead the 5th OR refuse to testify in committee hearings as it essentially causes MORE harm, finger pointing, and rumors. The job of an investigation is to find the truth. As we have seen during the Fast and Furious, IRS and Benghazi investigations, there has been more blocking and ignoring subpoenas (which is absolutely in contempt of court in a public court) than ever seen before.  It has now become common for one side to fight the other using these tactics instead of focusing on the truth. It has also become a common occurrence for those blocking the information to be promoted or given a new post with a higher salary than to be fired or demoted.

The separate additional view of the investigation by Susan Collins sums it up this way:  “While I support the SSCI report and appreciate its thorough analysis of much of what went wrong, I believe that more emphasis should have been placed on the three issues I discussed:  (1)  the Administration’s initial misleading of the American people about the terrorist nature of the attack; (2)  the failure of the Administration to hold anyone at the State Department, particularly Under Secretary Kennedy, fully accountable for the security lapses; and, (3) the unfulfilled promises of President Obama that he would bring the terrorists to justice.”

I agree with Senator Collins. She devoted a couple paragraphs as to why Kennedy should be be held accountable. If the CIA/FBI hands weren't tied by PC, the State Department and the DoD, I believe those responsible for the attack would already be arrested and charged.

Thank you for taking the time to read and post. And that - was my point
[ In Reply To ..]
This report is thorough and in many cases doesn't shine a pretty light on the administration. It also points out how Chris Stevens also made some poor decisions. I am by no means blaming him, but this whole situation was so volatile that one misstep from anyone could have resulted in the perfect storm that it was.

I also believe that the administration, feeling they had to come up with an answer/cause right away, was probably politically motivated to make a statement immediately, because it's really a physical impossibility to have the answers as quickly as they did. I don't think what they said, though, was the mistake or a coverup. The mistake was that they felt politically they had to say something... and pretty much threw Rice under the bus IMO.

It really is a fascinating report. I haven't had a chance to read it as thoroughly as I'd like, but an investigation was carried out, mistakes were made, recommendations given. Time to move on and learn from such mistakes.

TH, I've not agreed with you on much and I might not even agree with your assessment here, but thank you for reading the report and not just accepting the superficial accusations that fly around without really investigating for oneself. Basically, O'Reilly is saying this problem existed since Bush and Rove is disagreeing with him. But then, Rove was probably too busy diagnosing Hillary Clinton to really read up on the issue. BTW, Republicans just blocked a Veteran's bill 3 months ago. ...

O'Reilly V. RoveMay 22, 2014
The thread below went way off topic. Our veterans need to be kept in the forefront and treated with dignity. We all know the problems with the VA didn't start overnight. They've been brewing for decades. The issue at hand now is how will the problems be fixed and when? One of things I heard that made the most sense to me was to let the vets seek fee-for-service medical care NOW. The VA has a backlog. Okay, fix that, but in the meantime, let the vets seek care elsewhere and have those ...

OMG...Just Saw Watters World On O'ReillyJul 14, 2014
He was in Vermont, which is apparently one of the most liberal states in the Union. I haven't laughed this hard in a long, long time. Try to watch the replay. (I guess they don't need or use money there.) ...

Sergeant Bill O'Reilly In CombatFeb 21, 2015
O'Reilly has spent years and years bloviating about all the time he's spent in combat. All this video and audio will be surfacing thanks to Bill-O's little name-calling tirade last night. Should be fun to watch. A nice little "miracle I found it" memo and a little pouty session where O'Reilly plays the poor little victim of the left-wing media meanies does not erase his years and years of claiming to have been in combat in a war zone. Listen to O'Reilly at the link b ...

I Know Dems And Libs Don't Like Fox Or O'Reilly, But What About Dick Morris?Sep 03, 2012
He was a Clinton man way back then. He sets the record straight on the Romney ad, and back up the welfare reform act that Clinton signed in 1996. Dick Morris explains the 1996 law very well. I will be looking it up for sure, but in the meantime, watch the video.   ...

O'Reilly Vs. Stewart (or Vice Versa) Did You Hear About It?Sep 25, 2012
I would love to see this but it's at 8 p.m. It's liable to be a riot (i.e., funny) and I'm so glad half the proceeds will be going to charity. If anyone watches this, can you please post the next day on how you liked it? ...

Time To Turn Off Bill O'Reilly As He RequestsFeb 19, 2015
Bill O'Reilly--the next Brian Williams-- "If you can't trust a news anchor or commentator, then you are not going to watch that person."--Bill O'Reilly.   Nobody from CBS got to the Falklands," says Bob Schieffer. "For us, you were a thousand miles from where the fighting was. So we had some great meals." Given the remote location of the war zone—which included the British territory of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, more than 1,400 miles offshore&mdas ...

Bill O'Reilly Faces New Questions: His JFK StoryFeb 26, 2015
Just as Bill O'Reilly was trying to move on from a dispute over his war stories, the Fox News host suddenly has more questions to answer. This time, the scrutiny is being directed at an account of his investigation into John F. Kennedy's assassination. O'Reilly's telling of it has gone like this: In 1977, Russian-born George de Mohrenschildt, who knew Lee Harvey Oswald, had been contacted by congressional investigators. O'Reilly, a reporter for a Dallas TV station ...

Michelle Bachmann Called Out Big Time By Bill O'Reilly (and Everyone Else) Mar 21, 2013
Excerpts from the Washington Post's fact-check on the following: “Here's the truth that the president won't tell you. Of every dollar that you hold in your hands, 70 cents of that dollar that's supposed to go to the poor doesn't. It actually goes to benefit the bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. — 70 cents on the dollar. That's how the president's caring works in practice. So $3 in food stamps for the needy, $7 in salaries and pensions for t ...

Looking To Interview A Few MTsOct 12, 2013
Hello all! I am in my last semester for a Medical Transcription degree (what a ride!) and now as it is coming to an end I need to interview a few Transcriptionists to help me to fully understand the field that I am heading into. If you have the time and would like to teach a soon to be graduate on your ways of being an MT please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it. Whether you just started working as an MT or a seasoned MT, any help and knowledge would be greatly accepted.  I am als ...

Interview Pointers Anyone? Nov 30, 2011
I'm so nervous.  I have an initial phone interview tomorrow for a job that I did over 10 years ago, which is not MT.  When I had this position previously, I worked my way up through the company; now they would prefer a Bachelor's degree which I don't have.  I don't want to make a fool of myself answering their interview questions and I don't want to sound like a robot giving the typical answers that you know they are looking for.  I've been out o ...

Up For A Job Interview In A Few Days - Sm Nov 13, 2012
Anyone have any suggestions how to interview well.  I just suck at interviews.  I look great on paper but I think I either tend to be too jokey or too serious/scared/timid.  Any ideas how to get a happy balance and not come off a total idiot?  I have not had an in-person interview in about 3 years.  Need to get out of MT, job is being outsourced soon and need to get out.  Any suggestions/advice is appreciated.  TIA. ...
