Lovely. Code Pink wackos.

Sorry, but they are traitors to this country.

How stupid can they be? One woman asked, "What were they doing in Hawaii anyway?" referring to Pearl Harbor and WWII.  Um, I think they were protecting the islands and the USA from the Japanese?

It infuriates me when people doesn't use the brains they were born with....and if the DNC is going to have any of them speak at their convention then I think they, too, need some brain surgery.

Women's reproduction issues deserve better. Sorry.

I am a HUGE supporter of PP and women's rights, and I hate that these women are getting such a spotlight. I think it makes a mockery of everything we've been fighting for.

Agreed... - SK1

They're certainly entitled to their causes and opinions, but their methods are so outrageous that they make it easy to discredit the cause in general.

I just read an article about them trying to perform a citizen's arrest on Condoleezza Rice. Seriously?

Geez. To make matters worse, I saw this article - backwards typist

The night of Paul Ryan's speech, the cameras scanned over to something going on in the audience. I saw a flag and then saw 1 or 2 people being escorted out of the RNC. Didn't know what was going on as I saw nothing in the news until now.

I agree. They're darn lucky our country puts up with people like that - backwards typist

In other countries, they would be thrown in jail for life after being beaten half to death.

Those women don't know how lucky they are.

I am not a huge supporter of PP and I don't believe there is "war on women." I believe it's just an excuse/another lie put out there to rile people up. Watch how quickly it dies down after the election.

PP and the war on women - RC

I have no idea if there is a "war on women" (that sounds extreme), but I am aware of situations where men simply do not share power with women.

And as lovely as the idea of equal pay for equal work is, it still is not a complete reality.

As far as PP, I work there, I donate...it's been in my life since I was a young adult, and I will fight to keep it there for others who need it.

I will not, however, be providing any of those services wearing a pink vagina costume.

by people like Sandra Fluke. BTW, I think she'll be speaking tonight....I won't watch, but probably get stuck watching on CSPAN some time this week.

I am pro-choice and feel this so-called war on women should not be a political issue. It's a personal choice but I also don't believe the taxpayers should pay for birth control OR abortions. You want either of those items, find a way to pay for it yourself.

BC - RC

I do support free birth control, if only for the fact that it lessens the chance of abortion ever coming into the picture.
This is what puzzles me as well. Being against - abortion and then SM
[ In Reply To ..]
being against providing low cost or free birth control makes no sense at all. If the answer is abstinence, they really have their heads in the sand. Someone who wants abortion to stop should be promoting sex education, contraception availability, etc. I will never understand this.
You're right...sm - JTBB
[ In Reply To ..]
both issues are a personal choice, and yet, the republican party's intent is to make abortions illegal. Why is it that they want to pick and choose which one of these "personal" issues needs govt oversight?
I think it all started over Obamacare and BC/abortions - backwards typist

and it shouldn't be in there. Look at the firestorm it created....and, BTW, I don't think Viagra should be covered, either.

As far as I know, Republicans don't want to make abortion illegal. I think that's another fallacy started to stop people from being focused on the real issues.
Read the republican platform...sm - JTBB

Faithful to the 'self-evident' truths enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, we assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment's protections apply to unborn children.

This is personhood, which would make abortion illegal and liken it to murder. This also means that IUDs and some other contraceptions would be illegal. It would also be illegal to remove an ectopic pregnancy. Note that their platform makes no exceptions for rape or life of the mother.

Then look up republican run states and recently enacted laws against abortion.
It sure was. It came straight out of ALEC's great big - boilerplate cauldron.

Sandra Fluke's emergence on the scene did not happen in a vacuum. People who refuse to even give her audience (taking their lead from the good ole GOP boys who banned an invited guest from the committee hearing) probably wouldn't give that FACT a second thought, nor would they necessarily be credible when trying to dismiss her feminist activism and/or declaring the war on women "shouldn't be" a real political issue.

BC falls under not only the preventative medicine banner, but it is also the single-most effective measure a woman can take to prevent ABORTION. This is no-brainer for anyone who claims to be pro-choice. Also, I am sure you are aware that there are many women who have medical conditions that contraindicate pregnancy.

The ACA seeks to give equal access for ALL women to preventative care, from the most impoverished to the most wealthy. That makes the defunding schemes for PP a direct WOW hit, considering they are the first stop millions of American women make when seeking family planning services. The claim there is no war on women is to turn a blind eye to that and to all other nanoscopic ALEC measures GOP pols are trying to promote against every single cell in women's reproductive systems. Get real.

LOL - Even if they don't, they do! - me

Ted Cruz Clobbers Code Pink In Iran Debate,Jul 24, 2015
Code Pink should have known better. Ted Cruz is a champion debater. The Republican U.S. senator from Texas had just begun delivering his remarks at Thursday’s Stop Iran DC rally when he was loudly interrupted by a group of Code Pink activists with megaphones. “We want diplomacy, not war!” they said. The demonstrators for Code Pink, a left-wing women’s peace group, were soon shouted down by a crowd that was there to hear Cruz speak. “We want Ted!” they chanted. Cruz res ...

Pink HairAug 03, 2010
Can anyone recommend a product that will cover gray/white roots without turning my hair a pink color?  Some years ago I was using over the counter color and was actually approached by people, telling me my hair was "purple."  I told my stylist and she said the over  the counter products have a violet base, and when applied to brown hair it gives a pretty highlight.  If you apply it to hair that has lost its color it soaks up the violet color and that's what you see.  ...

NEW JOB HAS DRESS CODEAug 19, 2011
My new parttime job is at one of those electronic stores where everyone wears khakis and polo shirts or short sleeved cotton shirts with the store name on them.  I am a skirt and blouse kind of gal, occasional jeans, kind of "casual-dressy-girly" style I guess.   The shirts have to be tucked in and we have to wear a belt.  I'd like to get some ideas as to how to "style" this up for my comfort level without breaking the dress code rules.  I already have thought of s ...

Zip Code With Most Obamacare Enrollments Votes RepublicanMar 08, 2015
Just a few miles outside of Miami, the streets of Hialeah are lined with strip malls, fast-food joints, car dealerships, and in recent months, lots of Obamacare enrollment centers. Topping the list is zip code 33012, which, according to the Department of Health & Human Services' latest figures, saw more than 12,000 enrollments - leading ...

By Raw StoryMonday, January 18th, 2010 -- 4:00 pm For years, many Islamic clerics have been arguing that the US's war on terror is a "holy war" against Islam.
