Bill O'Reilly will be interviewing President Obama live at approximately 4:30 p.m. EST on FOX today during the Superbowl pregame show. This should be interesting.

O'Reilly to ask him. He read some of the "finalists" on his show Friday night. The best question I've heard yet, where Obama wouldn't be able to talk all around it - well, he would try, but....you know what I mean, is this: Did you actually expect the American people to believe that you didn't know about the IRS scandal, gun running by your administration in Mexico, spying on world leaders, etc. etc. until you heard it on the news like the rest of "folks"? I'd like to see him wiggle out of that one.
I hope he asks that question - Debi

and other "hard news" questions. I'm tired of seeing people pussyfoot around the president and repeatedly allow him to slink around questions.
That wasn't one of the finalists. That actually was - Eric Bolling.

Thank you, NPC, for giving us a heads up on this interview. It might be worth watching if the president can give some direct and honest answers.
A Yahoo article I read this morning stated, "The Fox anchor (O'Reilly) revealed that this time around, he plans on taking a different approach to the interview. He revealed, "I will approach things differently because there's a record now, there's a whole bunch of controversies now, and my job is to clear them up and I will."
I hope so, but I'm not so certain. I know he won't (sm) - LM

ask the softball questions like the MSM, like how enchanted are you with being president and all that good stuff, but Obama is very skilled at talking around questions so that he doesn't have to answer them directly, even if they are asked directly, which they rarely are. He has also given O'Reilly extra time AFTER the TV interview, and this will be shown on The Factor tomorrow night at 8 Eastern time.
Did you watch interview with Jake Tapper? There was some fluff - but most was

direct questioning. Networks want their interviewers to ask the hard questions. I didn't hear any questions with the word enchanted in them.
No, I didn't hear it, but I did read it, and yes, I agree (sm) - LM

he did a good interview, for the most part. Brian Williams was the "enchanted" questioner. That was a long time ago, granted, but the questions haven't gotten too much better, except for Tapper and a few others.
One thing that may have not come out in the read - sm

was he would interrupt Obama until waiting for the full answer. That was distracting.
One thing I appreciate about people in position to interview, whether it be their own show or just a staged interview, is waiting for the full answer before following up or asking another question. It drives me nuts.
I am a Democrat, but IMO there's not a question anyone could ask Obama that he wouldn't have a stock answer for. This is just the nature of politics and a seasoned politician/leader being prepared and having a good answer without getting flustered and going "off script." And Obama rarely comes unglued.
Another thing is... don't be disappointed if Bill doesn't get down and dirty. He may talk the talk, but I believe even he will be respectful ;-) And I hope he doesn't interrupt!!
I disagree. You HAVE to interrupt, or he will go on and on - till time is used up. (sm)

That's what O'Reilly got in trouble for last year was interrupting, but like he explained, he was not supplying an opportunity for a speech. That's not the words he used, but that's what he meant. He wanted an answer, not a speech.
I agree about interrupting and - Debi

disagree with another poster here about the pres not getting flustered (paraphrasing). If he doesn't have his little friend (teleprompter) with him, he tends to stutter and throw in, "well, look, here's the..."
Will he hit him hard? Will he accept his answers? Will he be confrontational? Will he - be jovial? :-)

Great questions! O versus O. Love that! - Debi

I think he will hit him hard (I hope he will), but I think he will be respectful. If he (O'Reilly) doesn't accept his (Obama's) answers, he (O'Reilly) is likely to make an ass of himself. Yes, I do think he will be jovial with that little twinkle in his eye that can sometimes be seen.
