Looks like you need to get a job! Oh! forgot, there aren't any with O leading! - Good thing you still have Internet service....nm

Yet you're always around, nipping at my heels. - Nikki

By the way, I have a job, thank you very much. You might try and get one, though, because you're always available IMMEDIATELY to degrade me, and I can't imagine doing THAT is very profitable.

Have a nice day. :-)

LOTS of us around, Nikki. plenty who disagree - with you, in case you thought it was one.nm

nm
Disagreeing is one thing. Using this forum for harassment, (sm) - Nikki
[ In Reply To ..]
name-calling and just plain being derogatory is quite another.

I don't expect anyone to agree with me, but it would be nice to have an open friendly debate about topics, instead of the derogatory drive-by one-liners that don't even begin to address the topic at hand.

His/her insults are starting to get very personal now.

You disagree with me? Fine. In fact, I think that's great. We can disagree without being disagreeable. I've recently posted links on this board that weren't so favorable to Obama in order to try to show both sides and maybe generate a discussion. In case you hadn't noticed, there are some liberals who aren't so happy with some of the things he's doing.

We're all human beings, and we have different points of view. I invite those different points of view because I might learn something from them. But I can't learn anything from hateful one-liners that are designed to demean, not discuss.

I'm not the monster that I'm being portrayed to be. If I have offended you in any way, I apologize.
What are you talking about? - just me

If you feel people are harassing you report it to the moderator. She will determine what needs to be done.

To come on and say people are harassing you when they are not is another thing. And not taking responsibility for your own posts doing the same thing you are accusing others of.

What personal insults are you talking about?

People on this board have disagreements all the time. It is not harassment. People just need to learn to develop a thick skin. Sometimes what I'll do is if someone writes a one-liner I don't like, just read it, laugh about it and move on. We are not always all going to agree.

If you do feel you are being harassed talk to the moderator. I just did not find any in any of these posts.
A P.S. (post script) - just me
[ In Reply To ..]
If you are talking about the "Looks like you need to get a job! Oh! forgot, there aren't any with O leading!" comment, I don't think anyone would even think that is harasment. It's just like the "And there you are again like clockwork. You certainly don't disappoint" comment, or the "Speaking of Happy Meals, looks like you could use one" comment.

Please see message. - Nikki
[ In Reply To ..]
The difference in the examples you gave is that I was RESPONDING to the insults that were made to me by someone who clearly doesn't wish to discuss the issues. It just gets tiresome.
so you're excusing yourself for doing the same thing - just me
[ In Reply To ..]
that you accuse others of. You say you were responding to a poster. So was this other poster responding to you. The poster that responded to you was not harassing it was the same type of post you make. Your responses below were not to discuss issues, they were to cut down the poster. To me it's the same thing.

You can't excuse yourself when you're doing what you accuse other people of doing.

Telling someone they need a happy meal or the other comment you made was not an attempt to discuss the issue the OP was making. It was a fly-by jab at someone. I'm just not sure you understand that.

Oops - another P.S. (sorry hit the send key too soon) - just me
[ In Reply To ..]
I forgot to mention that if at any time you feel you are being "harassed" just email the moderator. She will look into it.

All I say is if it me claiming harassment towards me, I'd make sure it truly is harassment before I report. And I'd look at my past posts to make sure I don't post messages of a similar nature.

Lots agree with ya, Nikki - NJ

We may look like a smaller group, but some of that is because we don't use a lot of different names.

Hang in there and don't feed the trolls ^^

NJ
"Don't feed the trolls"... another reason some of us - cant take you two seriously either.nm
[ In Reply To ..]
nm
That really was unnecessary - sounds like you want to start trouble
[ In Reply To ..]
Saying "don't feed the trolls". Do you even know what a troll is? It does not sound like it. This really was unnecessary and seems like you just want to start trouble.

If someone thinks they are being harassed they know what to do. But displaying the exact type of behavior you "accuse" others of is just fuel for a fire. I've read the previous post and there was no harassment. You accuse others of what you both do in your posts.
Thanks, NJ. Very good advice that I will try to start following. (nm) - Nikki

:-)

Nikki, if you look - down the board

[ In Reply To ..]
you'll see that not too many ever respond to the one-liners. Just ignore them like the rest of us. I would give you the usual "just don't open them" advice too, but...well um... LOL! Whoever is doing this has the schoolyard "in your face" technique down to an art. I just consider them unfortunate eyesores.
Thank you. That's very good advice (sm) - Nikki
[ In Reply To ..]
(and an excellent description) and I'll try to follow your advice.

Thank you very much for your post. :-)
Thank you NJ for your post - you cant fool us

Starting a new thread because the old one is too hard to follow any more. You've got me doing more googling than I ever intended but that is a good thing.  Total cost of health care in this country was up to 2.3 trillion a couple of years ago and undoubtedly higher now.  Frivolous law suits accounted for only 1 to 1.5% of the costs and unnecessary tests an even smaller percentage at 6.8 billion.  I couldn't copy the link but if you google frivolous lawsuits health care ...

ObamaCare. Working directly with his patients and cutting out the insurance and government bureaucrats, lowers costs for the patients and increases the quality of care they receive. This shows how free market solutions can cut healthcare costs. This is the way out of the healthcare trap, and ironically it's being driven by doctors themselves who want to be doctors rather than insurance administrators. So-called "concierge medicine" is available in most areas and the number of doctors ...

Don't know if any of you have ever watched the "Morning Meeting" with Dylan Rattigan on MSNBC (9:00 a.m. Eastern time), but I would highly suggest watching it.  He is very angry about what's going on in the economy (from banks "too big to fail" to the "public option"), but instead of bashing Obama, he refers to the culprit as "the government," since we all know when this really started and how many administrations are really involved.  Rattigan used to be on CNBC but is now o ...
