If my employer told me what contraception I could use

I would be very, very, very angry. I am angry for the women who work for Hobby Lobby and any other corporation who would presume to have control over my body.

I am already stressed out enough as it is with trying to make near perfect mega lines per hour at minimum wage and dealing with no work available, inconsistent QA policies, lack of time off, and demands for overtime.

I cannot believe that 5 old men have that power to discriminate against women, and now my employer has that same right as Hobby Lobby.

Voting has consequences. Think about it the next time you are in the voting booth.

you can use. They are just telling you which they will not pay for. If the women at HL don't like any of the remaining, is it 12 methods, they can get another job, or pay for it themselves. That's freedom. If women want to be treated as equals, then they need to man up and act like grownups. :)

We all have to take responsibility for ourselves. Having birth control is not a right, it is a decision. Taking any medication is a decision. Smoking is a decision. Taking meth is a decision. Restraint is difficult, if not impossible for some people. Use another method or just pay for it. Prior to this entitlement lifestyle, women had to pay for it themselves. What's the big deal? Just pay for it already or use restraint or whatever you have to do to avoid getting pregnant.

That way, you wouldn't have to "pay for" a needy woman's contraceptive pills. Those of us against the endless wars our country is in wouldn't have to pay for yet ANOTHER war in Iraq. If a Democrat is in office, only Democrats have to pay their salary. If a Republican is in office, then only Republicans have to pay their salary. Those whose candidates lose, or those who don't vote don't have to pay either.

I beg to differ. I have no health insurance, and very little income. But I still have my PCP, left over from the days when I had a job and health insurance. Even when I had a full time job for a national MTSO, and health insurance, I made so little that I couldn't even afford the copayments most of the time. Still, if I could cough up the copayment for my every-other-year, cursory physical, I could get my meds covered by my healthcare insurance. According to your way of thinking, you somehow "paid" for my medications. So are you saying none of us should have any medications covered by insurance? Or that none of us should have insurance?

It's not just the birth control; it's the whole system. When I was younger, I went to my doctor and paid out of pocket for the visit. I believe it was 35 bucks per visit. I paid outright for my prescriptions, of which I had none except for birth control. Right or wrong, I felt I had no need for insurance and got along just fine. Now, with my insurance through my MTSO, even after the insurance pays a bit, I have to cough up more than a hundred bucks for my doctor's visit! And that is just for talking about renewing prescriptions and saying I feel fine otherwise. What is wrong with this picture?

Just curious.. did anyone's insurance that they got through their employer, not through the ACA web site, actually see any drastic changes to how their insurance worked? Any huge difference in cost? My insurance did not change a bit, not even the cost which is the first time that it has not gone up yearly in well, decades...
