Not sure where the Christianity/politics comment went, or why, but perhaps a less faith-based comment would survive.
I could care less what religion a politician is.
I find it odd and distasteful that there seems to be a competition on as to which politician can be the most Christian or Christian enough to get the populace to vote for them. I guess it is no different than which is more physically attractive. They don't need to be Christian to run this country, unless, of course, we want the government to run our churches. I suppose it could be the complete oppposite and the people want the churches to run the government. Isn't that a theocracy?
