to watch on occasion. I turned it on late last night and Chrissy was drooling on the floor over Michelle's speech. They had to literally bring out a mop to clean it up. Reminded me of when my bloodhound wants treats, he drools like Beethoven.

Chris Matthews stood in awe of the FLOTUS speech and its remarkable appeal across party lines, including moderate GOP refugees wandering around in the intraparty wilderness in search of an oasis. He was as fired up as the rest of the viewers over the unanimously observed takeaway....that night one of the DNC was all about voters rallying in unequivocal SUPPORT for their candidate, unlike the RNC, where we saw the candidate essentially tolerated as a necessary window-dressing at a gathering whose attendees only knew how to diss his opponent and rally around their tsk-tsks. That boils down to positive versus negative energy. We woke up this morning to hear a chorus of Wednesday-morning quarterbackers reading off the same page....that the FLOTUS knocked it out of the ballpark.

As for the dog reference, hopefully poor Seamus was not too disappointed to learn his chances of ever becoming First Dog were considerably diminished last night after FLOTUS did her thing. I'm sure Bo wouldn't mind sharing that spotlight with the long-suffering pooch, should the Romney's ever decide to do the right thing and put him up for a high-profile White House adoption, so he can live out his golden years enjoying the diggs his former owner has been promising will be his for the taking.
