Um, sorry...that would be a huge WRONG! Other people's kids are not my responsiblity or my communities responsibility. One of the proofs that communism does not work. If she wants that, there are plenty of countries she could move to.

I've always found in the education environment, banding together as parents representing all of our children, there is strength in numbers and have always found "our children need" rather than "my child needs" provides better results and leverage in getting the outcome we all feel, as a group, is the best for our children.
It's not to say that each parent is not responsible for their own child. I think that pretty much is obvious. By the same token an individual parent is not responsible for every other kid in the community.
I think it's just a concept if we all kinda watch out for each other, then we are safer and have a collective, mutual interest in the well being of the children and our communities.
