We are all in pretty much the same boat whether we be lowly MTs or Walmart workers. Except Big Brother is not taking care of us, nor are our slavemaster employers.
I know if I lose my income for whatever reason or my husband does, it's a matter of weeks before we lose everything, and even with both of us working 2 jobs each, what used to be an easy mortgage payment is now becoming desperately hard to make.
Lucky for me, because I make so little, Obamacare would be pretty cheap if I were eligible. Unlucky for me, my MTSO still has the junk insurance they are allowed to grandfather which means I better not get sick because I certainly can't afford to go to the doctor anyway - not when the first $3000 deductible is paid out of pocket.

I fail to see how the provisions of the ACA are anything but fair. The only ones who should be taking issue with these provisions are insurance companies and then only because it cuts into their profits, if they are being honest, for no other reason.

Birth control is not a huge cost and many are prescribed the pill for reasons other than contraception. In that instance, if not actual contraception, I'm sure we have been subsidizing it.
This is a talking point that is completely incorrect, as if we could pick and choose what we want coverage for and not to pay for others. What if we picked diabetes and instead got cancer?
What about younger people who do want birth control yet they don't need hypertension meds or heart pills? Why should they subsidize those meds?
Insurance doesn't work that way. It's better to spread the risk. I don't mind subsidizing birth control and Viagra even though I don't need it either. One day I will need some drug too that will be subsidized by others who don't need it.
