EEOC tells employers to investigate employees who wear

Posted: Aug 5, 2016

You know that government can’t restrict your speech. Officially. But they can in all kinds of practical ways, just as they can do lots of other things to you without ever really taking an official action against you. Take the famous “Don’t Tread On Me” cap. Congress will never pass a law that says you can’t wear that cap, just because politicians may not like what the cap stands for. Constitutionally, Congress cannot do so. But if you think that means the government can’t come down on you for wearing the cap, you need to become familiar with the EEOC. I guess the Gadsden flag is offensive now. ;

behavior.

I think it's the most insidiously clever ploys (not in a good way) ever utilized.

Obama’s EEOC: We’ll Sue You Feb 16, 2013
The Obama administration’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says it should be a federal crime to refuse to hire ex-convicts — and threatens to sue businesses that don’t employ criminals. In April the EEOC unveiled its “Enforcement Guidance on the Consideration of Arrest and Conviction Records,” which declares that “criminal record exclusions have a disparate impact based on race and national origin.” The impetus for this “guidance” is that black men are nearly seve ...

Investigate And Prosecute The Press.Mar 04, 2017
released the “Scope of Investigation” for its inquiry into the alleged Russian active measures campaign targeting the 2016 U.S. election. One item on the agenda is, “What possible leaks of classified information took place related to the Intelligence Community Assessment of these matters?” That is an easy one. One of the answers lies with Washington Post columnist David Ignatius, who “broke” the story regarding illegal surveillance of Trump national security adviser Michael T. Fly ...

How Does The FBI Investigate An Ongoing SituationMar 22, 2017
I understand how the FBI investigated Clinton's use of email. That was in the past by the time they got involved and there were records, people, and documentation they could look into. How does the FBI investigate an ongoing situation, like the Trump campaign's involvement with Russia, without surveillance? If they're not monitoring communications, how could they say there is no evidence of collusion? If the FBI is involved (as we know they are) then Obama's Justice D ...

DISGRACEFUL VIOLATION OF RIGHTS: Feds InvestigateSep 15, 2012
Let's get something straight.  When the Islamists erupted, few if any had ever seen the video that has been used as the "cover" for what are pretty obviously orchestrated terror attacks, not a true "Muslim uprising". Hillary Clinton and the White House have blamed this little, insignificant, relatively unnoticed video for uprisings around the world. This, of course, because the Obama administration has NEVER come to grips with the extent, the global reach or the implications of Islam ...

Elizabeth Warren Introduces Bill To Prevent EmployersDec 18, 2013
I can't for the life of me understand why this was ever legal in the first place. If you have bad credit, you really need a job, right? No brainer. Also, what business is it of your employer's if you have a bad credit rating and why would it make any difference to what kind of job you do? Craziness and another example of stuff that happened when Bush was in office. Witness the drug companies benevolently deciding they will not pay doctors to push their drugs anymore. How the heck was ...

What Should I Wear?Jul 12, 2012
Okay, I have to attend an evening (5:30 p.m.) wedding over Labor Day weekend that's being held outdoors in some sort of garden venue.  What the heck do I wear?  I'm so sick of wearing black to everything, but everything I'm seeing online is either too casual for evening or too formal for the venue, or only comes in the color white (not an option, obviously...).  If it helps any, I'm a size 14, very proportionate with chest and hips about the same size, but I do ...

What To Wear Under A ShirtJun 11, 2010
I found the most beautiful shirt!  It's sleeveless, has thin elastic at the waist and drapes snuggly over the lower waist and hips.  It is a thin poly cotton blend, so it needs something underneath, but strapless bra looks bulky, and I'm, well not "heavy" chested, but well-endowed, so need support.  I just want a smooth, well supported look without the headlights showing! Any suggestions?  ...

IRS Overpaid More Than 600 Employees Approximately May 11, 2017
The Internal Revenue Service, which is responsible for collecting federal taxes and enforcing federal tax law, was unable to accurately deal with its own complex rules governing the payment of its own employees and ended up overpaying more than 600 IRS workers about $4,200,000, according to an audit report by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration. The IRS also underpaid more than 900 employees about $2,700,000, according to TIGTA’s estimate. The inspector general found th ...

Big Jump Seen In Health Costs For Employees Oct 14, 2009
As companies begin unveiling their workplace benefits for next year, many employees are learning they will have to dig even deeper into their pockets for health coverage. Such price increases have become a fact of life during open-enrollment season, when workers sign up for their health plans. But the jump is expected to be steeper in 2010 than this year, as employers struggle with the impact of the recession and continually rising insurance costs. Employees will pay $4,023 on average in premiu ...

Sad News For My County-another 130 Employees Laid OffNov 06, 2012
The last garment factory that survived for 112 years is now gone. They just couldn't hang on any longer. They did last 4 years longer than the 90 year old company, but imports killed all of those factories. It was nothing to have 3-4 garment factories in each town. Some of the workers were employed there for 40 years and that's all they knew. The only opportunities they have now is Wal-Mart or picking orders in big box warehouse jobs 20 miles away or whatever is left in the closest ci ...

Why Illinois Is In Trouble, 63,000 Public Employees WithJul 26, 2017
Illinois is broke and continues to flirt with junk bond status. But the state’s financial woes aren’t stopping 63,000 government employees from bringing home six-figure salaries and higher. Whenever we open the books, Illinois is consistently one of the worst offenders. Recently, we found auto pound supervisors in Chicago making $144,453; nurses at state corrections earning up to $254,781; junior college presidents making $465,420; university doctors earning $1.6 million; and 84 small-to ...

It's Ironic. The Man Who Tells It Like It Is Might NotSep 18, 2012
I'm trying to think of five utterances of Barack Obama, from his campaign in 2008 to the present, that have been truthful.  So far, I'm coming up short but I'll keep trying. Meanwhile, someone is telling it exactly like it is - and each time the howls from the left get louder and louder. Me, I wonder how the American experiment flew off the rails - and I think I have some idea. The American experiment has always rested on one basic assumption, namely that citizens would ma ...

Feds Probing VA Employees As Theft Of OpioidsFeb 22, 2017
Congress and governors have clamored for action in the face of a rising tide of opioid addition and deaths, but part of the trouble might come from inside the government itself. They suspect that doctors, nurses, and other employees have “siphoned off” opioids and helped to fuel the black market: Federal authorities are steppin ...

Comcast Employees Get Time Off To Protest Trump'sFeb 02, 2017
TRENTON -- President Donald Trump's executive order temporarily restricting travel from seven majority-Muslim countries prompted Comcast to give its employees paid time off to protest. Trump's order sparked protests around the country and elicited rebukes from a handful of CEOs of companies that employ tens of thousands of U.S. workers, including Bill Ford, CEO of Ford Motor Company, who took to the airwaves to say the ban "goes against our values as a company." Judge Napolitano Tells It Like It Is!Feb 13, 2012
Judge Napolitano tells it like it is!  This is must-see video. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson shocked senators of both parties when he revealed that it costs $250 to $1,000 per day to house each of the immigrant children who have recently arrived at the border. When Johnson reported that figure, “there was an audible gasp, a bipartisan gasp,” Senator Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) told National Review Online. Obama To Propose Wage Freeze For Federal EmployeesNov 29, 2010
Let's watch and see how this goes over. Already Steny Hoyer and the National Federation of Federal Employees are against this proposal.
