he was caught on a hot mic over Melania. Did the media make a big deal out of it? Of course not. He's MSNBC, liberal progressive Dem. Double standard. No one made a big deal out of it, not even his bosses at MSNBC. Wouldn't doubt if they were laughing about it.

A live microphone caught MSNBC’s Chris Matthews making some candid comments about Melania Trump.
During the network’s coverage of Donald Trump’s victory speech in Indiana on Tuesday, Matthews made a remark about Melania’s walk after watching her join her husband on the podium, Variety reported.
“Did you see her walk? Runway walk. My God is that good,” he said, apparently unaware of the hot mic.
“I could watch that runway show,” he added, as co-anchor Brian Williams cut to commercial break.
Ironically, the 70-year-old Matthews has criticized Trump for his lack of respect for women and his sexist policies, according to Variety, which reported that the MSNBC host has made many sexist remarks on live TV himself.
The same media that resolutely looked away when the most powerful man in the world, a sitting U.S. president with multiple violent sexual assaults to his credit (about 20 that we know), snared an impressionable young intern and ruined her life. Now we are expected to gasp with revulsion at Trump’s PRIVATE conversation made 11 years ago when on their way to an interview.

I was watching when he said that runway thing, I do NOT think that was a hot mic, I think he was fully aware it was on - he thought it was complimentary, like many older, old fashioned gents do. Do you know, I don't think Melania would have a problem with what he said either.
Did he say he would love to grab her p****y? No he did not. He was simply complimentary.
Chris Matthews always goes kind of crazy around national election time. He will bend over backwards to give Republicans "equal time" and he seems to have a weird fascination and admiration for the Trump campaign. That, plus his terrible habit of yelling on top of all of his panelists after asking them a question (except those you WISH he would, like Michele Bachmann or Amy Holmes), means I do not watch him until after the election.
Methinks Tweety is getting a bit stale.
