China confirms new class long range missiles.

Posted: Aug 2, 2014

BEIJING -- China has acknowledged the existence of a new intercontinental ballistic missile said to be capable of carrying multiple nuclear warheads as far as the United States, state-run media reported Friday. A government environmental monitoring center in Shaanxi said on its website that a military facility in the province was developing Dongfeng-41 (DF-41) missiles, the Global Times reported. The DF-41 is designed to have a range of 12,000 kilometers (7,500 miles), according to a report by Jane's Strategic Weapon Systems, putting it among the world's longest-range missiles. It is “possibly capable of carrying multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles,” the U.S. Defense Department said in a report in June, referring to a payload of several nuclear warheads. China's military is highly secretive, and the Global Times said it had not previously acknowledged the existence of the DF-41. The original government web post appeared to have been deleted on Friday, but the newspaper posted a screengrab. ;

Thanks, Bill Clinton, for selling this technology - to China back in the 90s.

All the while we are disarming and cutting our military.

The world is becoming much more dangerous. - These newer missiles also

feature stealth technology. China has no reservations about selling their military hardware.

Thanks Clinton AND Lorel.

The world has ALWAYS been a dangerous place, - and probably always will be.

I agree with all of the above; however, - sm

I do not believe (perhaps naively) that China would harm the US personally because they have a lot invested here. They essentially own us. As far as selling the technology to others, well, all bets are off on that one.

There may be only one question left to answer - and we'll have to leave that for the historians: Who will go down as the worst President in US history - Jimmy Carter or Barack Obama? I think the answer will depend in part on whether Obama misbehaves and interjects himself into national affairs once he's out of office in the shameful way that Carter has done.  If he does, he'll probably edge Carter out as the worst President in history.   ...

Are We China?Jul 02, 2016
This is meant very seriously... I was in a store the other day called "5-Below" - everything in there between 1 to 5 dollars.  Okay.  The smell right away was that plasticy skunky smell as soon as you walk in.  Okay.  They sure did have tons of stuff very cheap, and very cheaply made.  Of course, I can go into Sears and see the same quality really; shirts as thin as tissue paper, funky smells, a size 2x is really the old 'large' to save on material, etc.   ...
