What's really interesting to me is there is no mention in this article (CNN - why would there be?) on how the members of his platoon have not even been contacted as witnesses as to his desertion. I believe some of you liberals here thought he would get a trial. I laughed at the time. I'm still laughing through my tears.

What a sad state of affairs on both fronts. Trade terrorists for a deserter/traitor. Keep an honorably discharged, falsely imprisoned U.S. Marine in a rat hole jail in Tijuana.

The Army will investigate this issue on its own timetable, not yours or anyone else's. - Why so overly concerned?

So the article states people had already been interviewed in the months after he disappeared (which was around 5 years ago) and might be re-interviewed if necessary. What part is confusing? There is an ongoing investigation, has been for around 5 years, and the Army will investigate this issue on its own timetable, not yours or anyone else in the media who've already made up their minds as to his guilt.
