85 percent of doctors have considered quitting

Posted: Jul 9, 2012

Apparently there was an independent, non-partisan survey done which came up with this finding, which I think is very telling. If the doctors feel this way, Obamacare is not the solution some people think it is. Source: http://dailycaller.com/2012/07/09/report-83-percent-of-doctors-have-considered-quitting-over-obamacare/;

Correction - I meant 83 percent.

But that is beside the point, since the major medical associations endorsed Obamacare. Amazing survey considering the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American College of Cardiology all endorsed health reform. These groups represent hundreds of thousands of physicians across a wide range of medical sub-specialties.

Oh well. Maybe they had a certain designated list to call.

Health reform - yes. - Obamacare - no.

[ In Reply To ..]
He's going about it the wrong way - turning the IRS (not a tax, huh?) into police, for one thing. Mandates and insurance requirements that make it cost prohibitive for employers to subsidize their employees' health care costs, thus driving us to submit to the strong arm of the government and further making us dependent on big gov. There's a whole bunch of legislation in the health care reform bill that has nothing to do with health care and everything to do with special interests groups, too. Right idea, wrong method.

working for an extremely large Oncology center in the south, I saw something today that is frightening. Facility will remain nameless for obvious reasons. This Oncology facility treats all types of cancer in all stages. I had 3 patients today, back to back, 2 of them were 72 and 1 was 78. ALL had treatable cancers, and they had done very well. At the end of their chart, the phrase was added verbatim "No further treatment/testing designated due to life expectancy of less than 10 years". There was no mention that the patient KNEW this was placed in their records, or that it had ever been discussed with them. Two of the 3 were long-time cancer survivors, and all 3 were doing well. How the hell does anyone know for a fact these patients would not live 10 more years or have a productive life? Who are they to "designate" that no further care should be rendered in regards to their cancer? This phrase has NEVER appeared on any of the thousands of charts or patients I have worked on in the last 10 years. The FIRST TIME THIS APPEARED WAS AFTER THE SCOTUS RULING. For those that want to continue to deny the reality of what is happening, I hope this phrase appears on your chart or the chart of someone you love, since nothing seems to wake you up to the dangers of what is going on.

cancer. As stsated, all were doing well. Both breast cancer patients were 5+ and 8+ years out respectively, the lung cancer about 4+ out. Facility NEVER poster that phrase on any chart, for any patient, for any age until Obamacare. Can't make it any more clear for you than that.

I saw the records for thousands of patients before Obamace, you didn't. You can guess all you want, doesn't make it a fact. Just shows you degree of denial regarding what is going on. Namecall all you want - guess you won't get it till it happens to your someone you love. Hope you're out of stupor of denial by then.

Hope it doesn't happen to someone you love.

You can spin it all you want and twist what I said repeatedly to ease YOUR DENIAL. Not one single time did I ever say people should not have insurance;k so keep your lies about my posts to yourself or get it stragiht. Obamacare is NOT insurance, it is control. In literally thousands of records I reviewed, over a period of 10 years, NOT ONE SINGLE TIME DID THAT DIRECTIVE, PHRASE, template, policy, phrase, or whatever other spin you want to use ever appear on any patient's chart. All these patient were older. It did not appear on any chart for anyone unver 70. Get a grip and try reading the truth about this bill, or heh...here's a wild thought...Actually read the whole bill. Obama is playing God and Obama will surely pay a price for that arrogance. I find it sad that people so enroped in Obama worship and ideology have no common sense and lost all sense of reasoning.

patient's regarding the 10-year life expectancy is for prostate cancer patients and for the elimination of cancer screening for any patient that does not have a life expectancy in excess of 10 years. I believe it would be considered malpractice to withdraw effective treatment in the case of either breast or lung cancer.

These assessments and parameters predate Obamacare and probably predate you, going back to the 80s and the inception of DRGs (diagnostically related groups).

I am sick of their constant put downs of anybody with a different POV. They throw out their OPINION as if it is fact and expect everbody to fall in line. Only problem with that, I have never seen a progressive/socialist/communist with any substantial degree of intelligence, individuality, compassion OR FACT. They are so consumed with hatred towards anyone with a different POV, the hatred oozes out of every one of their pores. It must be quite a prison to be locked in a mind filled with false hoods about your superiority/knowledge when the exact opposite is true. Inability to think for themselves, stand on their own 2 feet, they have no accountability, total bias and racist, substandard "critical thinking" abilities. It is a garish hell indeed that they have banished themselves to so willingly.

Sound more like trolls on this board, just to try and stir the pot, since their is no "critical thinking" in their posts. Would gladly pay for a 1-way ticket to Somalia/Syria since they seem to hate the USA so much. Why are they here anyway? Their kind of negativity cna kill you. Just sayin'

I had an emergency I had to take care of and had to leave my office to take care of it.

I am trying to take care of the problem of insulting, but it does not do any good for me to ask people to not insult if they are going to insult in the next post they write.

This poster reiterated word for word what the previous poster wrote. I have edited out the same words I edited before.

Out of hand is the posters who cannot discuss politics without insulting others, belittling, calling them uneducated, stupid, ignorant and then when I delete the words say, what, I didn't say anything insulting.

People need to get a handle on discussing issues. I cannot understand what is so hard about discussing issues without insulting people just because they disagree with you.

I do not enable anyone to post insults. You post them they will be removed. I have said many times if you find a post offensive and I haven't taken care of it I will. Not every post is going to be edited within 5 minutes of when it was posted.

The post has been taken care of.

Perfect example of the tactics used on this board to harass posters. The post this poster complained to you about was a DIRECT QUOTE from MTFISH, whose post she skipped right over, never commented on, did not demand removal of, to attack a poster that would not take the insuting comments from MTFISH. WE ALL can see where the problem started, with what post and which poster...why can't the one complaining see? Biased attacks, demanding removal of messages is hypocrtical if the person STARTING THE ATTACKS does not get called out on their abusive language...posters are sick of a few that want to bend the rules so they can post any insult they want, but when posters respond and no longer tolerate that garbarge, they cry "victim". SOME OF US ARE SICK OF THE CHILDISHNESS. If they can't post adult messages without the insults and disgusting language, why are they on here? They are not contributing to any political discussion...just the usual bashing of a few with a different POV.
...about "tactics" - please note
[ In Reply To ..]
I see you are upset that I "skipped right over, never commented on, did not demand removal" of a particular post. For the record, I have the right to "skip over" any post I choose. There is no requirement for me to post as you see fit.

In point of fact, however, I was not able to assess the post you are complaining about as it had been censored by the time I arrived. Given your detective skills, you can probably figure that out based on the time stamp of my post.

What I did find when I arrived was a slew of unrelenting, personally directed insults, which, as you can see, continued on and on and on, beginnning with posts such as "Try following YOUR worthless advice to others - What's wrong with you?" and proceeding all the way through calling progressives hypocrites, socialists, and communists.

There are no "tactics" on my behalf here. I am simply bewildered by the fact that some posters are permitted to be so completely and over-the-top abusive to others.
