Thought I shared a funny little side story to the mouse conversation below.

Posted: May 16, 2011

My calico, the killer... well Saturday morning I got up to have my coffee in front of the TV in my chaise lounge which is my usual Saturday morning routine.  My kitty left me a big fat dead mouse right in the middle of my lounge!  I screamed bloody murder, dead or alive I hate 'em, and then I had to gather myself because I was home alone, no man in site and so it was up to me to dispose of the corpse.  I put on latex gloves and got the BBQ tongs and went out into my front yard to throw it in the ditch when the nice, single, man who just moved in next door sees me in my robe and slippers, hair not even brushed yet, latex gloves, and tongs with a dead mouse.  He got a good laugh.

My kitty also left me two dead birds this weekend.  I immediately thought of the lady with the mouse problem and how I was bragging on my "killer" cat.  There's a down side to every solution...  :)

Happy Monday!

I can imagine that you were also holding it as far away as possible and going "ew, ew, ew, ew, ew," probably because that's what I would be doing. LOL

I feel that way about ticks.

Two summers ago, my stepdaughter chronicled "Pumpkin's Kill of the Day" because every morning there'd be a mouse or mole found dead on the back steps.

LOL. I hate meices to pieces!! nm - anon

Kitty must really love you ;) My doggie brought a dead squirrel into the kitchen last summer, but it wasn't for me. She just wanted to roll around on it and get its "perfume" on her.

and stick to it.  For months I read here how essential it was to pass health care reform, Obamacare was right, had to happen, because the uninsured do not receive medical care.  Had to happen.  Okay, in muted form, it passed.  Then states sued because they feel it is unconstitutional for the federal government to require citizens to buy health insurance.  The Obama admin defends the suit on this basis: When accidents or illnesses inevitably occur, the uninsured still re ...

I Have A Mouse ProblemMay 12, 2011
I have a mouse, or maybe I should say mice, problem.  I've been setting snap traps, caught three and now the traps don't get tripped and the bait is eaten.  I have poision out under the kitchen appliances.  I have grandchildren who come over sometimes and don't want anything harmful to them, although it isn't like they play under the fridge and stove anyway and I so far they have not visited with traps out.  What can I do?  If anyone has any advice, p ...

I have posted 2 times previously about the outside cat and his eye issues, trying to get him treated. Fed him for about 2 weeks and finally able to give a pat on the head, little touch on the back. I got up my nerve this morning after Googling last night about how to catch a feral. In the south but put on my coat, got me my husband's leather gloves and put morning food out. Had the cat carrier sitting upright close by. It was now or never. Grabbed that little goober and in the cage he went. ...

Declassified Memos Show FBI Illegally Shared Spy DataMay 26, 2017

A Conversation With A Staunch Democrat...Dec 07, 2015
I had the occasion over the weekend to have a conversation with a former neighbor, a staunch liberal democrat from New York. We used to have many discussions over the past years about politics, always polite, always respectful. In fact, she is one of the few liberals I know who is not full of vitriol and hateful rhetoric. What she told me this past weekend shocked me. She admitted to me that I had been right all along about BO and his ineffective leadership. She said she never felt so helpless ...

White House staffer, about the party’s illiteracy on and hostility toward white evangelicals. There aren’t many people like Michael Wear in today’s Democratic Party.
