Disclaimer: This post is in no way intended to suggest that this sick political humor phenomenon is confined to one side of the aisle or the other. Yes, yes, yes, democrats have had their share in this, particularly when it comes to death wishes for W. No doubt. Is that clear? However, these citations are provided in follow-up to the earlier post regarding Fox News� latest media blitz to crank up all that phoney outrage and yes, I am going to say it, hypocrisy over NH democrats who made the tacky SP death jokes. That was way too over the top, even for me. I am getting entirely too grossed out to continue with this. Coulter does it to me every time. Needless to say there is an endless supply of these. Before putting the post to bed, here is one last poignant anecdote. Former Minority State Senate Leader Vic Sprouse R-West Virginia, champion of family values, adulterer, boozing, dead-beat dad of a handicapped child made a particularly horrific death joke (in view of the timing) about the Late Senator Robert Byrd a mere 48 hours before he died, with full knowledge that Senator Byrd had been terminally ill for months and was likely on the brink. I think it deserves a direct citation: When speaking of the state funding process, he said, ��and, is this the first legislature in history (well, except those concerned about the Praetorians rounding them up and hanging them) to willingly give away the power of the purse to the Executive Branch? Byrd would be rolling over in his grave... err... his Senate floor seat.� Snort, snort, oink, oink. One can only imagine the pain he callously inflicted on Senator Byrd�s grieving family. ;
