Well, out here in calif. there's been trouble like never before. Some crazy woman wanted an XBox so bad, she peppered sprayed the 20 people ahead of her in line - stupid people.

Somewhere else in the L.A. area a shooter shot into a crowd of people.

Whats this world come too?

Anyways, what did you get? I bought a 24' LED monitor for PC. Hurray .... for $150.

She bought herself a 46 in LCD TV and a playstation 3.

I got the call at 12:15 pm to come pick her up and bring her home. She sat there from noon on Thanksgiving day.

I shopped online and got slippers for her and her sister and a Mr. Potato Head for my grandson.

I bought a bag full of health and beauty aids using coupons and paid 38 cents. I took that bag and another full bag of cough drops (those were completely free!) to a friend on the board of directors of a youth shelter to be distributed to the teens there over the holiday season.

'tis the season :)

I'd rather have a root canal than participate in that - Black Friday consumerism hype.

people stood in line for the night before at a Wal-Mart 5 miles away. I got a cheap tv and a surround sound system. I got earrings for my MIL and a necklace for my secret sister at church. Got a few toys for the kiddos and a Shop-Vac for the hubby. I enjoyed my day of shopping without the kids and then got a mani/pedi for myself. LOVE Christmas!!! :)

I generally don't go out for anything specific, much less stressful that way. I did 2 years ago, stook in line at Best Buy for 45 minutes to get a GPS for my DH. This year was a breeze though since most stores opened up at midnight. I got there about 7am, no crowds, no lines anywhere I went--the mall (2 stores there), Petsmart, Shoe Carnival, Target and Kohls-- it was great and a nice surprise. All the nuts were done with their shopping by the time I woke up. Saw people standing in line outside Best Buy when we were driving home at 8pm from Thanksgiving dinner at in-laws, nuts! I was quite surprised to find everything so empty. We had a pepper spray incident too (at midnight) at our local Walmart though it did not make the national news. Some people are really crazy when it comes to shopping and getting what they want to buy. Glad I did not see any of them!

I am just wondering about an idea I have had and wanted some feedback to see if it a workable plan in your mind. I am thinking of starting to be a personal shopper for people for their groceries and household items. I am thinking that I can make money this way by taking their shopping lists and buying the groceries using coupons and then they still just pay their grocery bill and I make my money by whatever coupons I can come up with toward their orders. I've been trying to find a more inexpensive way to buy groceries. I don't do couponing much because all the coupons are usually for stuff I don't normally buy. I was looking at Amazon and it is amazing all the stuff they sell. My question is this. I see for instance a 12 pack of canned beans for 41.84 (pack of 12). Does that mean 12 cans?
