So far I've heard how people like Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Bill O'Reilly, and Glenn Beck are evil and say hateful things that incite violence and that they should be held responsible for the violent things that OTHER people have done because obviously it is their fault even though they didn't pull the trigger.
What about these:
"That Scott down there that's running for governor of Florida," Mr. Kanjorski, D-Pa said. "Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him.
There are also reports of environmentalist terrorists who booby-trapped trees so that saw-mill workers would be injured -- and could have been killed?
Or how about when the Unabomber was captured and a copy of Al Gore's environmental cult book was found in his cabin, dog-eared and with many passages marked up, that was passed over in silence by most of the liberal media.
Then we have the main suspect in the Beltway sniper shootings was a member of Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam.
What about when Vice-President Biden spoke before a Democrat Party fundraiser in Minnesota last Tuesday. During his remarks, the Vice-President said he would "strangle" the next Republican who talked about balancing the federal budget. The following day it was President Obama who said during a radio interview that the election of a Republican Congress in November would result in "hand-to-hand combat."
West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin actually firing a rifle and putting a bullet into the heart of the cap and trade bill in a television political ad.
During the 2004 Presidential election campaign, the Democratic Leadership Council used a "Targeting Strategy" map against President Bush. The caption beneath the map read, "BEHIND ENEMY LINES: President Bush won nine states by single-digit margins. These states should be ripe targets for Democrats."
Remember during the BP oil spill when President Obama said he wanted to know whose "@ss to kick."
Remember when Kenneth Gladney was attacked by an SEIU member? "Kenneth was approached by an SEIU representative as Kenneth was handing out “Don’t Tread on Me” flags to other conservatives. The SEIU representative demanded to know why a black man was handing out these flags. The SEIU member used a racial slur against Kenneth, then punched him in the face. Kenneth fell to the ground. Another SEIU member yelled racial epithets at Kenneth as he kicked him in the head and back. Kenneth was also brutally attacked by one other male SEIU member and an unidentified woman. The three men were clearly SEIU members, as they were wearing T-shirts with the SEIU logo."
Let us not forget the Weather Underground and their bombings.
My point of all these examples is merely just to get some of you to open your eyes a bit. As I've said before on this board....no political party is perfect. There are criminals in both parties as well as liars. The next time you want to point the finger at the other political party (and this is for both parties) research your own party first to see if they are guilty of the very thing you are accusing the other party of. Perhaps when we see the faults in our own parties and hold our party responsible....maybe we will actually get some good people in office and hopefully we will actually be able to work together like adults and actually compromise and do what is right for our country. The more we make excuses or turn a blind eye to our own political party and continue to point the finger at the other party.....the more damage we do to ourselves and our country. Just a thought.
