No matter what I do I seem to be getting a lot of mosquito bites this year.

I guess I will have to wear a long sleeve shirt out there and I already use sweat pants. I even spray and get bites when I am trimming the yard. I dont like getting all those bites with WNV around. I am probably immune if there is such a thing with all the bites I get.

Did you ever try Avon Skin So Soft? - IAMT
[ In Reply To ..]I buy this from my Avon lady and use it while gardening. The regular Skin So Soft can be mixed and put in a spray bottle and used for so many other things. List of directions and ideas came with the bottle or I found it online, can't remember. They now have one that is just for insect repellant. Hope this helps. Growing up we dabbed on a bit of plain ole vanilla from the bottle from cooking use and that always worked well too - especially for gnats. Both cheap and not harmful in any way.
What about that repellant thingy you hang on your shorts? - It works great on TV. Puts you in a bubble. nm

[ In Reply To ..]One thing you might try is tea tree oil. Mix a few drops in lotion. I have found it helps. It doesn't fully stop the bites, but it helps, and tea tree oil also helps heal the bites faster and eliminate itch. It's healthier than using the chemical anti-bug sprays.

Why all of a sudden am I getting flea bites? I have had cats for over 16 years and normally every summer about this time, the fleas come.
